Does anyone know the name and number of the fella that brings crawfish up to Sesser IL. I think he lives near Sesser.

It's 14° here now and we have at least 10" of snow. Some folks a few miles away posted on FB they have 13".
HB, our Redbones don't have to be tough....just cuddly 😉 They are spoiled house dogs first. Just lucky they like to hunt. If they didn't, they'd still be here forever.
We went to the casino on Sunday and I lost $100 of mine and at least that much of theirs. I was a few $ ahead at one point, should have quit, but ....
Hope your friend will be ok.

Rex, when does ur season end? Ours doesn't officially end until Feb 18, but this weather has ended it for us. Chuck's goal was 10, but I think we only got 6, maybe 7. The dogs treed more, but they were in pines the last few times we were out, a couple of times they treed 2 or 3 kits up the same tree so we left them and we didn't take a gun the first few wks because he was archery hunting and didn't want to have to skin a coon at night after he had been out all day...most nights in deer season, Ruby and I had to nag him to go coon hunting.

My friend got them more that once and she got them on her face by her eye..Nasty! She introduced me to the nurse that gave us our shots. When I told her that she could get the vaccination for free, she got one and I don't think she got the shingles back after that.

Nope HB, we keep them in. We were putting Dandy in the barn at night with the lab/terrier we keep for r son, but he would come up in the AM and shiver for 1/2 hr. We got him a crate and bed for Christmas. They are great house dogs. We aren't 100% sure, but think someone probably poisoned our good dog we had in the 70's/80's. Don't want to take a chance with these ones.
Sorry about your recent losses. Last yr, we had 4 relatives pass away. This yr, Chuck's aunt just passed away. All were in their 80's, dad was just a few months away from 90. We find comfort in knowing they lived long happy and for the most part healthy lives. Dad still was deer hunting at 87! And was still mowing the yd, and riding his snowmobile and ATV.

Do u have snow, Rex? We went out looking for beaver dams today and every step I took was over my boots.
Big coyote hunt here this wkend...guys are hunting them with dogs. We saw someone with a dead one yesterday on our way down to ck traps.
Mark, I saw the thread u started looking for crawfish. There was a lot to eat on that table! Never tried any. I talked to some Amish kids that were catching some, they invited me to eat supper with them, but I graciously declined the offer.

Thumbs up

Been gone a couple of mornings. Went and picked up some bag of LIME for the front yard and as I was unloading them my **** back went out. It was hell trying to get to the house. Day 3 and still walking sideways. Getting old is not fun. Hope everyone else is in good health and good humor. You all have a wonderful day.

Took Dandy and Ruby to a BS today. Couldn't get Dandy to pay attn. He never stood still. Got Ruby looking good (so I thought), but the Judge told me her ft were too far apart😞

This Superbowl kind of reminds me of the election....don't really like either one, but pick the less of the 2 evils.

I had 1 of them that acted like yours is,the transformer was bad,by the time I was done w/it had more in it than what I paid for it,but it warmed up the shop faster than these new cheap ones do,gave mine to the number 2 son. Don't know bout anybody else but that super bowl wasn't nothin' but a pro wrestlin' joke w/ a helmet. I believe I'm done w/ the NFL.

Get a cart and keep that mini busy, HB.
Rex, I hope the fog cleared up so u can get out tonight.
We took a walk today looking for beaver dams. Didn't get as far as Chuck wanted to go because I couldn't walk uphill in 6" wet slippery snow without sliding backwards almost everyother step. We did find a new place to trap fishers! Saw a few sets of old coyote tracks, too. He thinks we'll put about 6 traps there. It probably isn't as far as our longest walk in now, but because its steep uphill, its going to take as much time ....about an hr. My knees were sore from hill climbing then we got home and I slipped on ice on the patio at the first step and fell up the steps. Hurtin tonight, told Chuck this might have been my last trapping season.
