I ain't got no Garmin either,& so far don't need one,my dogs don't go real deep,& that's the way I like it,did buy me a back tracker & that comes in handy, dang near got lost one nite in the fog & knew where I was at like the back of my hand, was about 25 yards from a big barn & couldn't find it & knew it was there, fog rolled in so quick didn't know what hit me. After that I bought one.Got up ta 51 yesterday here & sunny & warm Mike, unlike whats comin' Got 36 right now.

I got two Garmin collars. I have had two dog killed. One by a train and one by a car. If I had a garmin back then Both dog would still be alive. My collars are DC30 and I am not going to upgrade. I am satisfied with what I got. I wouldn't dare turn a dog loose without one on. When someone comes hunting with us and don't have one I will put my extra one on that dog. It is for safety only.

That ain't a bad idea, but maybe I'm too tight I do hunt with those blinkin' lights, think it helps ta keep the yotes away, ain't been bothered yet,I can see where their at,& stay away from heavy traffic.

Wind blowing hard out there. Temp.is 24 degrees. Suppose to get down in the teens. Deacon hunt about three to four hundred yards out and makes a big circle. I still like a collar on my dogs knowing where they are and what direction they are.
