Frost here this AM and now the sun is shining brightly....probably lost all the 🍒 and plums, the trees have been in blossom fo over a wk, that's the usual here😞
We rode around here yesterday. Hauling out today, Chuck hitched the bp for me.

we rode for 3 hrs mostly stay on the trails in the woods because the bay didn't have shoes on the boy suppose to take her next weekend put shoes on her if i had stocks here i could do it i just can't bend over and hold thier feet up any more

its been a month yesterday since the grandson was born..the daughter, son in law,and the grandsons came over to eat mushrooms and crappie yesterday...

HB, we rode for almost 3 hrs, too. I put a new app on my phone. It maps and keeps track of time, milage, etc. We rode 11.5 miles.

I am one of the worst trailer backeruppers ever ! So what happens today?...I brushed both horses, saddled Jas, loaded them in the trailer and headed for the Allegheny National Forest. About a mile from here, I saw PenDOT signs that they were working on our rd. When I got to the flagman, he told me the rd was CLOSED!! It was after noon and they ripped out a pipe at 10 am and didn't put ROAD CLOSED signs up. I was NOT happy. I told the kid flagging to move all his cones because I was going to back down the rd to a gated rd and try to turn around. As I was backing about 1/4 mi from berm to berm, I couldn't help thinking dad was looking down laughing his a$$ off because his daughter didn't inherit his truck driving skills. At the same time, I kept thinking about the song "GIVE ME 40 ACRES AND I'LL TURN THIS RIG AROUND" It's a good thing I had my bp and not my gn because I would have never got it turned. Finally, did get headed home, hosed off both horses and hope to try again tomorrow.

I had Chuck measure it today and it was 1/10 of a mile, but since I kept backing 8' and pulled ahead 4' to get straightened out, it was probably 1/4 mile😉or more😉!
Chuck caught his limit (5) of trout today. He gave them to his friend that traps beaver with us. He's been having health problems and can't walk much anymore.

HB, Yrs ago, I had a friend that bought a mare that she didn't know was pregnant. Her neighbor asked when it was due, she said she's not and a few wks later she had a foal. Another friend and I drove 4-5 hrs to get a pregnant mare that wasn't supposed to foal for a month....two days later it foaled. Not sure if the previous owner messed up on due date or if the trailer ride had something to do with it coming early....probably both because the foal was fine.
How did u like the new mare? Have enough get up and go for u?

Chuck got his limit again today...his 2nd time out. We had them for supper. He's getting the boat ready, but we went to the dealer on Monday for something he needs. They didn't have it, should get it on Friday. Then I can go with him.

she's a nice mare but no she don't have enough go for me but im not gonna get after her because my boy takes my great gran daughter down to my nephews barn lets her get on her and ride she always kickin her feet wantin to go faster boy said last week she finaly caught on the moochin thing said now she kicks her feet and mooch to get her to pick it up some long day start at 7;30 this moronin got home at 9pm rock hound a yard seed & mulch it guy picked up 4-5 more dang yards to do

we had a pretty good rain earler this evening they sayin now it's moved out who knows we mulch a big yard took us till after non to get it done dang wind got to blowin our straw every where told the boss im gonna hate to have to re mulch it said we won't unless they pay us again i thought oboy gonna maybe a war tommoro lol

Well I'm back,been bustin' my hump,sure was a welcome sight the rain,them farmers went ape s**t,had an inch & 7/10's the 1st go around don't know how much I got awhile ago,w/ more over the weekend,river is up.

We had thunder ans lightening last night with some hard rain. Tonight it started sprinkling about 10 Pm.
Chuck watched the weather forecast and said they're calling for rain the next 4 days.
Turkey season comes in tomorrow, Chucks gonna go down to his dad's and "hopes no one screws him up"
