Oh my goodness, just look at the size of those coons. I sure did some walking again last night. I am stiff and sore this morning. P Mike is going to be sore from toting and skinning all of those coons that Storm trees. I can't believe that y'all make him go to the dogs and then carry the rifle and the coon and lead all of the dogs while you and Linkous guard the truck. And he has to carry those big Ol coons back to the truck just so you can take a picture. Actually I guess that I am just jealous. I sure wish that he was with me last night.

Well....part of the Cartel or in the Northwoods having fun and visiting with old friends. Richard is in Tenn running those game preserve coon. I think he uses an old 6 cell light so he can be under wraps. Shannon is still plugging along with Roc and Penny. I hunted with her the other night and I liked what I saw. Hameer needs a couple of cast wins to finish to Nite Champion. I think it will happen soon. He has been making progress. The other little female is coming on too. Training!
I keep hearing about the secret weapon, hummmmmm.
Not too early to start thinking about Southern Days......

Luck wasn't in my corner this weekend. Took Winnie to a hunt and the first turn out she split about 100yds deeper than the other dogs but ended up pulling off the tree while we were shining the other tree. Second turn out she had a first and first on the only coon seen. Third turn out she had a third and third with no coon seen. I ended up with 100+ and the cast winner had 150+. We hopefully will get them next time.

Blake, it takes a lot of luck. Some handlers say that you have to "make your own" luck.
Bond, now that you are back from your big adventure.....do you want me to bring Boomer and Pluto both up there and let you keep them and decide which one you want? Or do you want me to just bring you the one that I think will be the dud? Or do you have enough dogs now and don't want either one of them? They will probably both be duds anyway. And whatever happened to the "Natural" Redbone man? Are you about ready to get back to Redbones? This might be your big chance.

What a great trip. Thanks to Dave, Chase and Cruz for guiding and doing the shooting and thanks to Char and Tom for their hospitality and putting up with us all week. It is always great to see everyone and spend time with Tom.

We had some great chases and dog work all week. Linkous couldn't believe how hard those coon run. It is hard to believe until you actually see it.

I was proud of my secret weapon for the whole week. The weapon will be getting a lot of alone time now to start getting ready for the spring hunts. Stella had a good week too, except for her getting wore out due to the lymes but she gave it all she had on every drop. We mostly hunted her for just a couple of drops late at night.

It was an enjoyable week.
