Thanks Jason!

Ron,
Praise the Lord for you being able to witness God's very work at hand! Larry can now experience a daily walk with Jesus Christ..... a walk that he will experience for eternity!!
I found the following verse of scripture to be rather fitting....

Titus 2:2
Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.

Redeem The Time

Good Mornin ! I had a great weekend. My brother Bob is here visiting from Florida for 2 weeks. Its always good to see your brothers and sisters and family. Me and him sat up last night and talked about when we were kids and we recalled a lot of memories that seemed like they just happened a short time ago.Im 64 yrs old hes 69 . It was good. Lets get to the message for the day. Redeem the Time!

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” - >James 4:17

Procrastination. Just seeing the word makes me want to put off saying anything else. Are you under conviction in that area? One fellow said, “I started to procrastinate, then decided to put it off.”

Procrastination is a form of disobedience. When God tells us to do something and we don’t do it, we can label our actions with all kinds of fancy words, but the bottom line is, it’s sin. The days are passing and time cannot be stopped. You can’t call a “time out” in life. And time can’t be stored like money in the bank. Really, the only thing you can do with time is use it or lose it.

Someone has said, { “Lost: } One golden hour, studded with sixty diamond minutes. No reward offered, for it is lost forever." Redeem the time. You have time right now if yer readin this. Ask JESUS into yer life ,Right now, It only takes a couple minutes.God Loves yas,,, We Love yas,,, Have a Blessed Day Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron ...Prayers for you all

Wholehearted or Halfhearted ?

Hello All ! It was 49 degrees this mornin in the riverbottom.I heared several gun shots so the early duck hunters are shootin at ducks .that means winter is comin and its close by. Im ready for it . but for now lets get to the message for the day. Wholehearted or Halfhearted?

“The light of the body is the eye: Therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.” - Luke 11:34

Joshua chapter fourteen tells us something very interesting about a man named Caleb. Three times the Holy Spirit says Caleb “wholly followed the Lord God” (vv. 8, 9, 14). Every ounce of Caleb was given to the Lord.

This is the kind of heart you and I should have if we call ourselves Christians. The devil is going to intimidate a fainthearted man. And there’s only one way to stand against the devil. That is to give everything to Jesus Christ. Indeed, God does not accept half-hearted religion.

It would be better for you to say that there is no God than for you to say that He doesn’t mean that much to you, He doesn’t make a difference in your life, He doesn’t stir your heart to love Him.

God is looking for wholeheartedness. “With my whole heart I have sought Thee.” (Psalm 119:10) Can you say this to the Lord today? I love the LORD with all my heart and so glad hes in it .I cant live and go through the day without him....God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,,Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Prayers for all!

Philippians 2:1-2

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.

God Is My Helper

Hello ! Im runnin late today hers my devotion for the day I hope this touchs you in some way ....Have you ever had one of those, “Woah, wait a minute!” times when reading the Bible? You’re slowly meandering your way through a chapter, trying to clear your sleep-fogged head, when suddenly a verse jumps out and slaps you in the face. I had one of those moments this morning.

I was making my way through Psalms 54, trying to shake off a slight headache, when I read Psalms 54:4:

“Behold, God is my helper…”
Bam! Bible verse to the face (in a good, sweet way). The words “God is my helper” are astonishing. Think about them for a moment. They literally change every situation. God, the God of the universe, the omnipotent, all-wise, all-loving, righteous, true, angel terrifying, sinner saving, God is MY HELPER. Woah. Woah!

I am really not feeling well, and I’m really tempted to complain… but God is my helper! He can heal me, or give me the power not complain, or both.
My child is not doing well spiritually, and I’m at my wits end… but God is my helper! He can melt my child’s hard heart and give me wisdom to navigate the every sticky situation.
My partner on this school project is doing nothing, and I want to punch him in the face… but God is my helper! He can give me diligence, patience, and love.
My kids are running around the house, peeing on the floor, and generally driving me insane… but God is my helper! He can give me an otherworldly love for these high speed children.
I’ve sinned in the same way again and again and again…but God is my helper! He promises that sin will not have dominion over me. He will give me power to overcome this sin.
There is no situation too great for God. There is no heart too hard for God. There is no budget too tight for God. There is no boss too difficult for God. God is your helper! He is my helper! Those four words change every situation.

Do you need wisdom today? God is your helper. Do you need strength today? God is your helper. Do you need patience today? God is your helper. If God is your helper, that changes everything. God Loves Yas,,,We Love Yas,,, Have A Blessed day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,,Ron ...Prayers for you all

What Do You Make Time For ?

Good Mornin. Were getin some much needed rain this mornin. It was nice sitin out on the deck lookin down into the riverbottom with my brother Bob. He said ,{life doent get any better than this } the only thing that could be better is wakein up in Heaven every mornin and vistin with everyone ya love. How right he is. lets get to the message for the day
What Do You Make Time For?

“For thou shalt be His witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.” - Acts 22:15

What is more important in your life today? Seeing your daytime soap opera or asking an unsaved neighbor over for a chance to love them to Jesus? Joining your buddies for a round of golf, or visiting your unsaved father? Going shopping with your friends, or taking the time to read the Bible to a lost person in a nursing home? Someone wisely observed, “We managed to make time during the day for what’s really important to us.”

Friend, the time is running out. We will not be witnessing in heaven. This is our earthly duty and privilege now. None of us knows how many hours we have left. We must seize the golden opportunities that God gives us daily to witness. people sometime make it hard to tell others about JESUS when it is so easy. When I first became a Christian I was scared and was a little embarassed to tell others about Jesus,Thinking what they would answer me with, like { Hes a Jesus freak or a Holy Roller. Then I would be ashamed of my self feeling that way about JESUS...But ya know what how stupid I was . I Love tellin others about him now ! and the good things he does for me and will do for them .because Jesus is in my heart, he lives in me ! and Im gona live with every other person thats ever walked this earth that believes in him in heaven for eternity. so to those that think Im a Jesus freak or a Holy roller,,I AM !!!! and I pray that you are some day before JESUS returns ! I LOVE JESUS and I LOVE YOU TO !!!!!

A line from “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” is our challenge: “Oh, be swift, my soul to answer Him! Be jubilant, my feet! Our God is marching on.” God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ ,,, From The Riverbottom,,,Ron ... Prayers for all...

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Willig To Be Thought A Fool

Good Mornin . Had a good weekend hangin out with my brother Bob. I took him to see other relatives and had a good time. Now to the message for the day. Willing to Be Thought A Fool

“Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.” - 1 Corinthians 3:18

One day, the great preacher of yesteryear Harry Ironside was traveling with friends on a ferry. They were having a great time singing praises to the Lord when someone critically interrupted them saying, “Who are you people? What are you doing?”

Dr. Ironside replied, “We’re just some Christians having a good time praising the Lord.” And the heckler replied, “You’re a bunch of fools!” Ironside said, “You’re right! We’re fools for Christ’s sake.” were Holy Rollers ,, Bible Thumpers, and were proud of it.

The way of the Christian is sometimes foolishness in the eyes of the world. When was the last time you made a fool of yourself for Christ’s sake? Il make my self fool of my self for Jesus anyday.,,,God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom ,,,Ron ...Prayers for all

One Way To Get Prayer back In Schools

Hello ! Winter is comin ,It wont be long now the trees here in the bottoms are startin to change colors,That is a good sign . Lets get to the message for the day One Way to “Get Prayer Back in Schools”

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.” - Hebrews 10:24

One area where Christians can shed the light of Christ is in our school system. We have a generation who has no standards of right and wrong—everything is relative. In our schools our children are being taught that they have descended from animals, and its ok for boys and girls to use the same restrooms. What in the world is wrong with these educators,The board of education ? Is it any wonder that many have begun to act like animals?

What can you and I do? We must “love” our way back in! We must get involved by becoming members of the PTA. We must encourage teachers and tell them we are praying for them. We must go to school board meetings and find out about policies and curricula. We must pray daily for our classroom teachers and administrators.

We must seek to be holy people in a godless world in what ever we do,because its getin more Godless every day.God is the one and only one that can fix what all UnGodly people has taken away. And if we don’t, we are contributing to the demise of the next generation. God Loves Ya We Love Yas ,,,Have a Blessed Day ,,,Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron

2 Ways To KNow Your Saved

Hello All ! I have been spending most all my days with my brother Bob .His vacation is over he gos back to Florida tomorrow I enjoy his visits each year and look forward to seeing him. Lets get to todays message.
2 Ways to Know You Are Saved

I get the question a lot: “How can I know for sure that I’m saved?” I struggled with the question a lot myself until someone pointed me to passage from 1 John that helped open my eyes. In 1 John 5:13–18, John identifies 2 ways that we can be sure of our salvation.

1. We have placed our hopes for heaven entirely on Jesus. (1 John 5:13)

“I write these things to you,” John says, “who believe in the name of the Son of God.” It’s so simple that we’re liable to miss it, but assurance comes from believing in Jesus. This is the gospel: when we trust in his name, we cease striving to earn heaven by drawing upon our own moral bank account; instead, we withdraw on his righteous account in our place.

The gospel, by its very nature, produces assurance. Because the gospel proclaims “Jesus in my place,” my assurance does not depend on how well or how much I have done. It depends on whether or not I rest in his finished work. So the question is not, “Can I remember praying a prayer?” or “Was my conversion experience really emotional?” The important question is, “Are you currently resting on Jesus as the payment for your sin?”

A lot of Christians get caught up looking for assurance to a prayer they prayed 2 years, 5 years, or 30 years ago. But John does not say, “I write these things to you who prayed the sinner’s prayer.” He writes to those who believe. The point is not the prayer you prayed, but the present posture you are in.Also the way you believe.

2. You have a new nature. (vv. 16–18)

If you have been born of God you have been given a new nature. And that comes with new desires. So you do not “keep on sinning,” as John writes, because you have new desires. As an earthy way to think about this, you might imagine some vomit on the ground. None of us would require a list of rules keeping us from eating it. Why? Because we find it disgusting. Now, a dog has a totally different nature, with different desires. A dog would find that vomit as appetizing as we find it disgusting.

This is how God changes us: not by browbeating us with rules, but by giving us a new heart. You no longer love dishonesty and hatefulness and immorality like you used to. You do not avoid them because of threats from God, but because these things start to make you sick.

Of course, this does not mean that you become immediately perfect, or that you no longer struggle with sin. But you stop engaging in sin willfully and defiantly. You cannot love God and love the things that grieve him. You cannot have a mouth that sings praise to Jesus with a life that openly crucifies him. It is not your mouth that best reflects your love for God; it is your life.

And when you do start to go back toward your sin—which we all do!—Jesus protects you and renews you (v. 18). In fact, one of the signs that your salvation is genuine is that even though you fall, you never permanently fall away. God brings you back, again and again. As Proverbs says, “The righteous man falls seven times, and rises again” (Prov 24:16).

Your new nature is not demonstrated by never falling, but by what you do when you fall. Salvation does not means sinless perfection, but it does mean a new direction. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,, Ron... Prayers today is : "Ask God Into Your Life

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Lets get to the message for the day. Our Giving God

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5

James 1:5 tells us that if we lack wisdom, we are to ask God. Let me tell you what that literally means. If you lack wisdom, ask of the “giving” God. Have you thought of God as the “giving” God?

What does it mean to you that God yearns to pour out His blessing upon you? Do you say to yourself, “Oh goodie, goodie, let me see what I can get from God”?

Or does it humble you that the Almighty God who created the air you breathe, the ground you walk upon, and the body you are draped in…this God loves you and wants to bless you? I pray it is the latter, for that is the heart of a child of God. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom ,,,Ron ... Prayers for all.

Hebrews 10:30-31

For we know him who said,

“It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Matthew 6:33

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

1 Corinthians 2:14

The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
