The Gate female got a first friday nt, she treed 3 coon in 30 minutes in the same woods by herself in a 4 dog cast.

She won with 400 plus

That is the 2nd hunt both she and her owner have been in ever.

The first hunt he had it won he was ahead by 50 2 minutes left in the hunt and she was deep and alone hooked, so him bein th efirst hunthe was ever in,

He decided to let the clock run and ride out the last 2 minutes, when right at the last second the dog that was down 50 struck and treed on gates tree and he lost right ther or she would now have 2 first.

If you know how she is bred could you post her ped.

She is a one way no reverse go til she is hooked kinda dog.Tight on the ground and medium to hot nose. The kind that will burn ya.

Larry thanks for the info,that is awesome!Sounds like she is cranking pretty good,hope he continues with her in the hunts.There was a couple females bred while Sam was in Alabama at Erics house.One was out of Cyrus and a C.D. female and the other was double Doc bred.I think the Gate female is out of the Doc bred female.Ill get more details on her pedigree later.
Supposed to be Spring time instead we got eight inches of snow on the ground,gotta love it!

Brian i took moonshine to town tonight got class and beed on the bench , had his cast won up till the last 16 minutes lost by 25plus, he had one split with the coon and looked real good but hes alittle tight yet at times on the ground or it would have been all his . but heck he just turned 7months on the 23rd.

How have you been Brian, Took Reba out for a little while tonight and made two dumps and made a tree on both. She is being a little tight mouthed on track since I started hunting her by herself. I treed five or six with her last season by herself, I had to split her and my old dog up because they were going to far for me. She is still a hard tree dog and has matured faster than any dog Ive owned. I hope to have her ready for Redbone days in Cuba, that means I have to get in gear! I hope she is ready when the time comes. She is doing really well for 13 mounths old. By the way the coons tonight were on the outside,seen them both. Brian, just wanted to let ya know Maggie only stayed in heat about 2 weeks this time. I took her to a hunt last night and won it. She now has a 1st and 3rd. It wasn't the best night but she was the only open reg. dog with plus points. She went minus on a slick at the last tree, but we thought the coon was in a den about 20ft to the right. She did pretty good all in all, I thought. Just an update for ya. I need to talk to you about Cuba. Randy and I are thinking on comeing up. If you would give me a call when ya get a chance. Thanks,

Jake it sounds like Amos and Andy might be clicking,that cross is gonna produce some very talented young dogs for sure.Gary Hartwick has Shine and he sounds like he is really doing a nice job to,hope they all make it to American Days.
