We've got 6 coon with the dogs. I got permission from 3 people to hunt on their property today so we'll probably go to those places tonight.

Our rifle deer (buck) season doesn't start until the Monday after Thanksgiving. Saw a NICE 10 pt above the house twice now. Hope I see him the first day the same place I got my buck last yr. I like easy shots.

HB, Most probably do. My BIL would always like to brag about his long shots and the deer were usually running.
We saw the 10 pt tonight on the way home from hunting. He was across the rd, heading away from my treestand...darn.
Came home with 3 more coons tonight. The dogs did great. They had their supper and went to sleep.

2 yrs ago, we avgd $2.00 for our coon, last yr, we got $9.00. A couple places we're hunting, the farmers want us to shoot everyone we tree. Last night, one went up a white pine so it was safe, the other one wasn't so lucky.

the report I got from the auction house was they had cleared out all of last years surplus of coon but not to look for much of a price increase this year for fear of flooding the market again..but next year looked much brighter for the coon prices, and mink and muskrat and beaver....

We've had Erie for our cars for yrs. Got a discount for adding the house a few yrs ago. We hadn't had a claim in yrs, then Chuck got us hit by a semi (I think in 2015) totaled a $4,000 car. None of us went to the hospital until a day or 2 later and had xrays...so it wasn't a huge payout because the truck didn't have much damage. It bent the fender on the trailer. Then about a yr later, Chuck backed into my friend's car and did $900 damage. Our agent said they could drop us for having 2 accidents in less than 2 yrs. They didn't, but we've been told they drop people more often than most companies. Our son totaled his Jeep ane had a speeding ticket, they dropped him and told us he wouldn't be covered driving our vehicles.

WOW, Rex, u must be in a coon hot spot. Chuck took the dogs out last night and didn't get any. I think he said they treed in a big pine and then he went to another place and the dogs ran down to a house. He said he heard a woman yelling at them so he called them and came home.
Yes, HB, Erie is like that. They wouldn't insure our house until we went so many yrs without a claim. We had 2 claims in a yr....1 for wind damage to the barn roof and 1 when the hunter shot our house with our old insurance com and those are the only ones we ever had with them. They raised our premiums for 3 yrs so I wanted to switch, but Erie wouldn't insure us ....I think until we went 5 yrs without a claim.
