I think he is talking about me and Danny Biggert. We met yesterday so that I could pick up Nt.Ch. Ky Moonlight Kate (Ranger x Kate) to bring her back and breed her to Dual Gr. Moonlight Aftershock (Ace x Kate)
The reports on Kate's first litter out of Billy semen are very good and we hope the cross on Shock produces some very nice pups as well.
P.S. I think Mark was being very generous putting me in the same category as Danny.....who has won alot more than me

You could end up with alot of Amos blood if ya do.We got some nice youngins that show him 6 times right now. I've been working on Amos blood for a long time here. You would get Littleman 7 times as well , not sure how that would work with what you guys have but back in the day that was a good idea.

I am pretty sure I read where Montana Red Mountain Ranger (Ky Kate's Sire)
Also placed in the top 20 of the UKC world hunt. I believe that Richard may have handled him to that accomplishment. Where is Richard at, I'm sure he could tell me if I am right about that.....
Update....
KY Kate and Moonlight Aftershock have mated 3 times so she should be brewing up some nice pups for Danny Biggert over the next couple of months. Crosses like these are not made very often so congrats to those lucky enough to get one. I hunted with Ky Kate in Michigan last year when I took her back up to Spud's after we bred her with Billy the Kid semen and she showed me that she was a coondog at the young age of a year and a half. Those pups from her first litter are running and treeing at 7 months old so Danny has high expectations for this litter on the way from her and Shock.
Dual Grand Moonlight Aftershock is here at my place in Indiana and is available for breeding to good females if anyone is interested. He is one of the winningest redbones over the past 4 years under several different handlers in many different states.....Shane

Confused

Hey, where do me and my dog fit in? I'm pretty new to the breed and only have 1, but he's out of Burning Pepper(out of Kate) and his dam is Shabel's Timber Lilly(owned by Mr. Shabel). I think there's 2 reasons that I could hang with ya'll.
Or maybe I'm on Team Pepper/Pepsi/Outlaw/Moonlight/Timber Chopper!
I'm all kinda confused. Somebody help me out please?!?

Not shore what you mean but your dog and you would fit in just fine I'm shore I like proven good dogs and good hard hunters
pepper does have a lot of Amos and chief in him wow some big winners and reproducers in his ped

Thanks. I was just trying to be humorous. My dog has several different bloodlines and each one plays a part in contributing to the great potential that he possesses. I am greatful to all who has improved the breed through selective mating. Without their efforts I wouldn't be able to compete with and beat the walker dogs of today.(my opinion)

Good solid bred consistent winning hound with a good hunter and handler on the other end of the leash.....your a perfect fit for this team....welcome aboard MIke!
I am getting ready to head east in a week or so to breed Breanna to a full brother to the sire of your male....Gr.Nt.Ch. Rocky Top Jet who is also out of Little Pepper X Kate.
Since Bree is already out of a male and female who are both out of Kate and different males it will be one of the heaviest linebred Moonlight Kate crosses yet with a pedigree stacked top to bottom with some of the biggest winning Gr.Nt.Ch. redbones of the last 2 decades.
Your dog and his breeding fits right in with these winners and the crosses that we are trying to put together.

Hey Shane !

I just wanted to drop you a line, and let you know that there is a litter mate to Shockwave in our part of the country that is being hunted alone, treeing a lot of coons. Hard going young dog, a little tight on the ground, but a hard, accurate, stay put tree dog. I hav`nt had a chance to hunt with him yet, but plan on going with him soon. Just thought you would like to hear a good report on one of the crosses you made, Shock/Ipod. Good luck in all your endeavers, and effort in breeding, and training better Redbones. Say hi to Rodger, and Roger for me when you talk to them again. Maybe the All Night gang can get together with you`al down in Alabama, in the not so distant future.

And a guy that hunted with Fred's male said he was getting a young male off shock to try out if the guy will sale him

Thanks for posting those pics Matt.
For those who may not know....Matt was the main handler for Shock in 2012 and put most of those wins on him. Matt is one of the best young handlers I know of at this time. He is also one of the hardest hunting guys who is proving to be very good at starting pups. I am glad he like redbones and wants to push one in the hunts. Great job Matt... and thanks for the hard work you put in with Aftershock and Shockwave this year

For all those who are interested....Dual Grand Moonlight AfterShock...one of the biggest winning redbones over the past 3-4 years is Right here in Indiana and is available to breed to. He is owned by Mr. Rodger Shabel of Alabama, so you can contact him or myself if you have a female to breed. We also have frozen semen stored at Nevergone in Wabash Indiana on Shock.
Aftershock has not been bred heavy due to his competition schedule the past few years but is producing some very nice pups that are starting to win in competition. Mr. John Biggert has a young male out of Shock that needs one or two wins to finish to Grand Nite Champion and I heard of another one of his pups in Illinois who is also a nt.ch. Our Shockwave pup out of Shock and Joe Maitland's gr.nt.ch. Ipod female is a very impressive young dog who will be making his mark on the competition circuit soon.
Shock is a proven, consistent cast winner who has a long list of big wins. But the best thing about him is that he is from one of the best crosses in the redbone breed. Moonlight Kate was crossed on Wrongway Ace one time and from one litter of pups came 3 Dual Grand Champions and a fourth that is a Nt.Ch. and will probably make grand soon. All of these littermates have proven they can reproduce. Shock's sister Deana has reproduced 2 Grand Nite's in Britt and Breanna from her first litter and my Infamous Amos pup is from her last litter from Billy the Kid semen....check out the video's! Shock's brother Big D is also reproducing some nice dogs. Moonlight Aftershock has everything a person could want in a Redbone Stud dog.

I don't raise many pups.....but when I do make a cross, I usually wait until I see how many pups are born and then I set about trying to place them in the right hands. I dont have any pups for sale right now but may have some this spring. Check back about april. I may breed Nt.Ch. Outlaw Billy Jean her next heat cycle this spring....but I may wait and finish her out to Grand Nite first. I will not be able to make as many hunts this year because of work and most of the ones I am planning to make will be bigger money hunts with Breanna.
Thanks for the interest in this line of dogs. I got my start in redbones 21 years ago with this same line and it has really been good to me. Whatever line you hunt....you have to have confidence in it and in the ability and consistency of the dogs who come from that line.....then the hard work begins as you take that pup through all the phases that each coondog must go through on its way to becoming a finished dog. I love to watch a pup go from just weaned to a finished, titled, solid, consistent winner. Good luck in the future....Shane

I have been hunting redbones for 26 years and I live in Illinois. I have always hunted outlaw line of dogs.
