I LOVE those long legged Junior bred English. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe those young dogs have Dual Grand Champion Clemon's Little Bam (Bam Bam II's full brother) on the bottom side, maybe their grandsire? And, I have been told that they have super loud mouths. I think Little Bam was the best looking English I ever saw and I guarentee you I have made about as many English Grand Bench Champions as anyone. Super Slam out of Bam Bam II was a fine looking English also. I will post pictures and videos of him soon.

I will try to get my buddy Bob to take some pictures of his Ranson Bam pups. They are Junior bred on the bottom side also.

As for bear dogs, I have several refferences on Bam Bam II dogs that made great bear dogs. They have the grit to bite a bear and make him climb!

Lady In Red was bred to Little Bam in my back yard. I never was in the woods with her but she was as fine of looking English female as ever lived.

As for the Grand Lake breeding, Darrel Burroughs and I have been good buddies for a long, long time. In fact, I think Grand Lake Tack was killed on the road up here not far from my house when Darrel brought him up here to hunt. Darrel always demanded a good looking hound that was a top track dog as well as a tree dog. Darrel has never cared for hot nosed pop up coon dogs or dogs that didn't meet the breed standard 100%.

The bottom line is that these pups should make good, cold nosed coon dogs if hunted correctly. I hope I am not stepping on anyone's toes but I know these pups were bred to win big time Bench Shows. That is already happening.

Blossem was almost bred again to Ranson's Bam not too long ago.

Dave - you are partially right, we do breed for top level show dogs now. BUT....this cross was made with the dual purpose dog in mind, not just for show. The only reason our dogs don't get hunted more is age and physical limitations, anyone who knew Jerry 20 yrs ago knows he was in the woods as many nights as possible. Nothing better than a dog that is pretty on the bench and the tree!

and the Blossom/Ransom's Bam cross seems to be all we desired. we would have loved to make this cross again - when she was in heat that last ime, it would have meant another winter litter so we made the decision to wait.

and nope, you didn't step on any toes

Guys I have a female booked to breed to Bam this week she is now 11 years old her name is 'PR' HANSHAW'S MOLLY JO she has never been completion hunted she is reproducing some fine pups she has only had three litters with a small total of 16 pups on the ground. Below is a list of her pups that have earned titles. I tried to buy this female when she was 2 years old and I am still trying to get her but I can't seem to get it done. Molly Jo is Woodstock breed. This cross was attempted several times not sure if she took or not I guess we will know for sure in 60-65 days... She maybe to old.

I am waiting on a DNA kit for Bam... I may be Performancing him this year if not I will for sure next year... I have some in house females due to come in soon... And maybe a new female coming as well... If every female comes in heat as scheduled we will have plenty of pups... More details to follow... I got my Ranson's Bam pup yesterday. Man, she is really nice. I am looking forward to making something special out of Lakeland's Ruby II. Pictues and video clips ASAP.

We got our puppy out of Grand Bench Champion Nite Champion Ranson's Bam and Spencer Creek Sally this week. After her being hauled a couple of hundred miles, she came out of the box head up, tail wagging. She is a beautiful pup. I have been raising English pups around 40 years and I reckon I have made as many English Grand Bench Champions as anyone. If I am able to go to enough shows, Ruby II will easily make a Grand Bench Champion. This video shows her at 9 weeks old. She is tough to video, she is a live wire and very busy all of the time. She couldn't decide if she wanted to smell trees or attack me. LOL. She sure is a nice pup!

Junior, there were 9 pups all together, 3 males, 6 females. Bob said they were all well marked like Ruby II, and all were dark redtick, the same color she has. Ruby II has great conformation, I know she will be show quality. I reckon the other pups will be Bench quality pups also. I hope to find time to post an ad for Bob today, I think he might have a pup or 2 left to sell. Bob lives near Hannibal, Missouri.
