Bond you taught them that. It seems that the Cartel was busy this weekend. I heard that one member saw 7 coons Sat night.

I think Winnie is finally back to her old self. She has been looking really good this week. She's moving tracks out quickly instead of bogging down and she's treeing harder than she has in a while. I have been sitting a lot of comp hunts out because I had no confidence in her, we have a hunt Friday and for the first time in along time I feel confident that she has a chance to win. Hopefully she keeps getting better and better and makes us look halfway decent at Southern days.

It sounds like it is time to go to work. There is a hunt up in Va this weekend also. We will see how many of the Va Cartel members hunt in it. I have heard that several will be there. I know that the Pro and Buck will be there, but I bet that Bond will come up with some kind of excuse.

I went to one of my old spots last night. Turned loose in the ridges where there are no houses or roads. Halfway through I remembered why I don't hunt there anymore. Made 2 dens and a coon on the outside. At the last tree, I was 1 mile and across 3 big steep ridges from the truck. I have gotten too old for this kind of hunting.

You're only as old as you think you are...or I think that's how the saying goes. 🤔 Ride over this way, I do ya like I do my grandpa, I'll leave ya at the truck with a 2 way radio and let ya listen while I get ya dog. 😆

At 7 o'clock last night I thought that I was 35 yrs old so I turned loose in those ridges. At about 10 o'clock reality set in and I remembered that I was 68 yrs old.

Took Winnie last night behind pops house and she got on a rough track and finally treed in a big cedar tree. Couldn't see anything cut her loose again she went 50 yards and treed with the meat. I think I walked a total of 100 yards all night.

It stormed here last night so I decided to give the dogs a break.
Has anyone heard anything from BB lately? Is he coming to Southern Days? Aren't Bear and Deer seasons over?

Me and Winnie gave it our best Friday and Saturday but didn't get a win. I needed 1 more coon to win Friday and treed Winnie with 2 minutes left in the hunt and there was a nest in the tree. Sat night she looked good except for a little back tracking but she split a couple times with a coon but still couldn't pull it off. She is looking better than she has in a long time. Congrats Richard on the win with Wendy.

Oh my goodness BB, Linkous is spreading nasty rumors that you have quit coon hunting and had given Beamer away. We were trying to figure out how we were going to get some oysters for Southern Days.

Can y'all guess who this cookie cutters mother is? I will give you a couple of hints. His granddaddy is Haze. And it was taken last night not a couple of years ago.
