Update

I just got a call that not only does papaw have a broken neck but he also broke his nose and check bone. He is aspirating when he eats which means his food is going into his lungs. The family refused a feeding tube at his will. Please continue prayers... This may do him in at the age of 95... Thanks

My Tailgate Blues

We got our buzz in the dark of the night,

Where only me and grandpa would go,

Often there til' day light.

Where the hounds may go only God knows.

Sitting on the tailgate as the warm wind blows.

In search of a midnight bandit,

where there is no moon.

The trees all cross and are covered with leaves.

If the crickets wanna know,

Then tell 'em that I've got the tailgate blues.

I ain't sure exactky when it all began.

Sometime ago out here, I know.

This woods was a little more back then,

With me and grandpa's own tailgate show.

Now, I'm just sitting here alone.

Thanks to his hounds for singing me a song.

My heart don't beat like it did back then.

The moment is hittin' me wrong.

On this tailgate is where he belongs.

The crickets heard my story.

And I listened to them sing.

Well, I closed the tailgate up.

Ain't no telling what tomorrow might bring,

Maybe me and a coon hound pup.

But that won't be enough.

If I loose my cool and it shows,

That I'm down and I ain't alright

I've got the tailgate blues tonight.

"God Bless you papaw... I sure hope you get well soon."

Prayers for my son in law he is being flown to Charleston Area Medical Center right now. He has had over 20 seizures today. We finally got him talked into going to the hospital. ..

They induced him into a coma and have him in ICU please continue prayers...

Our son inlaw came off of life support late yesterday. CAT scan and EKG both came back normal. He has some sort of damage that will require therapy.

Not sure what comes next. He was doing good til this afternoon then he went back into seizures. .. They are saying next step is 24 hr monitor on his activity. Please continue prayers...

He seizured through out the day again today he can't remember past early Christmas morning. CAMC is saying that they have done all they can for him. They want to transfer him to WVU in Morgantown but is refusing to do. Have a meeting with Neurologist in morning... Please continue prayers...

We ended the year with a new family member my niece had a little girl last night around 9:15 pm. This is my parents first great grand daughter. Her name is Alia Marie Hardt 7lbs. 5 oz 19 1/4 inches long...

It's hard to believe you left us a year ago yesterday. It's seems as though we hunted just nights ago. I miss you terribly and still wish you were here but Thanks to you and GOD we have your off spring to carry on. You weren't just a hound you were my friend my buddy and you fueled my passion in competition coon hunting. You were a pleasure to own you left way to early but like the saying goes only the good die young. Thanks for all the memories and wins you earned may GOD be proud to have you in his home. I am sure your beating your competitors in GOD'S amazing coon hunts. At least up there the hunts are fair minus the cheaters and slick treeing fools. My heart is with you as yours is with mine. Some day I will be home with you so we can hunt once again run free and wild as nature allows. As dusk draws near I close me eyes so I can hear your huge bawl mouth ringing in my ear. Once again thanks to you and Dave Haugh. ..

Matt Doss has decided to sell his Dixie female. She is from Roofus' last litter she will be 1yr old this month I think on the 18th. He says she will run and tree with other dogs.
