Happy Thanksgiving,we made a couple trees last night it was freezing cold and rough but we tried,Travis and Turkey were at it again looks like Turkey had some fur in his mouth.He is gonna be hard to handle this Spring.

The next generation of Pepper bred coonhounds has produced a lot of good choices as far as breeding goes.We will be making a couple line bred Pepper crosses this upcoming year.Rebel,Doc,Shine,Bill and Queen will be some of the key pieces to our plans.

Lucy

Thought we was going to be making a trip to Mo to to breed to Shine she had a odd heat cycle spotted for two days only so took to vet yesterday had her checked drawer blood done his test and gave me 50percent chance her to take said she had a short cycle made it hard to justified the trip that sucks not just for the cross but to see friends maybe the next time Brian and Gary it will happen

the Patty female

i seen a dog on here taht backs up to rusty red lucy top and bottom name Patty what ever happened to her or any of her pups me and my boy jordan hunted lucy alot when she passed she was here in eastern ky with us we loved her so much she was family just wondering about pattys offspring

Paul the Patty female is owned by my dad,we tried to cross her with Sam once and she got an infection and had to be fixed.I was able to get Magic,her and Patty are littermates and Magic is a very nice female.We crossed her on Sam and i have a female from that cross that i love,her name is Monster and she is gonna be special.I made the cross that Patty and Magic came from,it was the very cross on Southern Red Colonel.So Monster will be the third generation of our females for us.I hunted with Lucy plenty back in the day when Spence had her,she was a nice tree dog.Lucy lacked one win to be grand when she passed.

Paul,Monster is just a pup she will hopefully get her start with Dave at Neon Red Kennels.Bruiser is still getting used to us when the weather breaks we will see what he does.Its gotten pretty rough here with the temps tonight dropping down to 4 or 5 and snow on the ground it sucks .Doc picked up a little $$$ money Monday night.Hope to get Queen in some hunts soon.Gary has been on a role with Shine and Grizz.

Paul shine and grizz are doing great took shine out thursdaynight in all that freezing rain sleet and snow to see how he would do in those conditions and he was awsome he treed me three singles, the second coon was an old smart bore Shine swam the blackriver twice and a smaller creek before putting him up and having him , it was coming down so hard i couldnt hardly look up to shoot the coon out but as billy colman said to old dan and little ann you do your part and ile do mine Shine got the fur in his mouth. we got about 12inches here so i took a few nights off but its on tommarow night .

Wow

Every time I read a new post on shine as well as these other rocker pups it make me say wow. That's what you like to see that drive,not scared of the dark redbone got to LOVE IT keep it guys like to make out one weekend to hunt with every body.

Wonder how the Arkansas gang is doing,havent heard from John or Randy in a bit.Calling for more snow here tonight and tomorrow,just makes it a little more work on the young dogs.
