I've had an Arab and Arab xs for over 20 yrs so getting use to the Paso head was hard. I'm better with Dolly's than Jericho's. But they are nice horses when you can catch them and they don't buck you off.
Chuck was poutin last night so I talked him into taking a ride to see if we could put some turkeys to bed. We found 4 gobblers and 5 hens. This Am, he couldn't find them, so we went for another ride tonight. Within 8 miles of here, we saw: the 4 gobblers and 5 hens, then another 7 turkeys (they looked like all Jake's) a bear, at least a doz deer, a porcupine, a raccoon and we got home there was a rabbit sitting under his Jeep! Guess there's some wildlife left around here. The bear was limping pretty bad. A guy out that direction posted pictures of a bear at his house with mange. He called the PGC to see if they would trap it.
Gonna be chilly but sunny tomorrow. I"m riding.
