Clyde
And he's a good lookin' cuss too Chris...I don't think I've seen him since a pup, he's grown into a nice hound.
The Yank and Angel cross was a good one, I wish I had tried it sooner but...that's the way it goes, we do what we can and take what we get...eh? Ace is a brother to him and there are a few more that are putting it together on track and tree. There is a full brother to Clyde in Arkansas that is starting to do some good work in very tough conditions also I might add. Yank and Angel produced two litters and I can remember the individual pups in both litters...and that's unusual for me. I liked their attitudes from young on, they were always willing to get out and about even when they were very little. Based off what Ace has done with reproducing some nice pups, I'd say the mix is right to be able to reproduce for the future also so hopefully Clyde can help keep you in dogs for a long time to come.
The "not doing much to irritate me" part is a big deal Chris...if we can stand them, we'll probably keep them around long enough to see what they turn into...eh? I don't mind a dog being independent, they usually learn to be more social at some point but it's OK to be that way too, especially after they mature and learn to find their own coon on every drop...good stuff. Based off what Aaron says, his female mate to Clyde is pretty much the same way. Is Clyde from the first litter or second? He wouldn't be 2 yet if from the second and just over 2 if from the first. I guess it doesn't matter much but in both cases, they were willing to put it together pretty much on their own and started pretty early so a good cross indeed.
Did you get a female pup from Sid and Griz?

Unrealistic expectations are a roadblock to success, judge your dogs by what they are ready to give not by what you wish they'd do.
