Thanks Dave, you know when they saw me collaring up a little red pup they were thinking they had me beat. Their dogs must've thought that too, because they were at least 60 seconds late getting to Pepper's tree on both coons. I believe he had the 3rd coon in time, but he had to go 7/10ths of a mile with 16 minutes left to find one. They are few and far between in them Georgia pine forests. I can't wait to get him up North and see how many he can tree in 40 acres of woods surrounded by 2 miles of corn. I'm not bragging, but my little Pepper is super fast. He runs a track to catch and gets hooked up like lightning. Oh, and they kept saying they ain't never heard a red dog that can tree like that.The last tree, one guy waited until 10 seconds left to tree his dog. He said" go ahead and tree my dog. I don't know if he's there or not because all I can hear is that **** red dog". I told them they must not have hunted with a Pepper dog before then.

Yeah, I like him. These dogs are put together extremely nice.Good color, good conformation, good feet and legs, built for speed and bred for track and tree power.

Pepper

Took my Pepper last night by himself, cut him and he went about 150 yds and just sat down and treed. Seen the coon. Never barked on track. I'm pretty sure it was a lay-up because I led him off about 20 yds recut and he went in about 420 yards and made a loop back to me and didnt find anything, so i don't think they were down yet. I was back home in less than an hour. I'm gonna hunt him again tonight and take my camera to try and get a video.

Aren't any hunts close by this weekend and I'll have my son next weekend.
I'm at mercy of the opportunity of a nite hunt nearby, every other weekend. But don't worry, it's coming. It only takes one. That'll be easy for Pepper, The way he is rollin right now. No joke, this is one bad dog! I'm not in no hurry because in March my club has one, where I'll guide and Pepper knows every coon by first name, and he's unbeatable. An RQE on 17th I think, and our state hunt is 23-24th. I have made preperations to attend all.

Thanks Dave and Chad Im glad to add another one to Little Pepper's list.John after Burning Pepper won American Redbone Days and PKC Redbone Days and his brother that Brian hunted and his sisters won or placed at some big hunts they decided to make the cross again.And thats how Sammy and Jet came to be.And this cross will go down in redbone history.

Pepper split

This ain't the best video, but here's Pepper split treed by about 30 yards. Both dogs had a coon. It took me about 30 minutes to get to him, and there was young walker dog burning up a deer all around him the whole time. That's a lot of pressure on a pup.He stuck it and held it and I knocked it out for him.
