Jason I don't have any pups or young dogs for sale out of Heat at this time. Mr.Erwin has two litters of pups out of Grnitech.Neuse River Big Iron. If you are interested in one you can call Erwin at (919) 965-1045. He may know of some young dogs for sale.

Thanks english123 for posting that old ad on McGruff. He was a good hound. Mr. Erwin has that picture of him blown up to a 12inX24in. hanging in his office at his farm he sure thought a lot of ol McGruff.

We had a great time at the Grand American this weekend. I enjoyed talking to everyone making new friends and talking dogs. I have a couple females booked to be breed this upcoming year. Heat was not hunted in the Grand American but the PKC hunt down the road. He done a good job on Friday night but we ended up in a Tie at the end of the night and he lost off the tie breaker. On sat. night he done something I couldn't believe he caught two armidillos in the first 15 min of the hunt. so he was -400 then he decided he put on a coon treeing show he treed 2 singles and a den.After the hunt I found him out of pocket with a third coon. He almost came back and won the cast. If I could have scored the last coon he would have won the cast. We saw 3 coons that night and he was under all 3 two of them alone. We may not have won anything But I had a good time and got to meet some good folks.

Another Heat pup picked up a win lastnight at the RQE in Clinton NC. Ellie is a nice young female off of Heat and NTCH. Tarts Little Bit. Congrats to Morris Tart and Pete Holt on getting Ellie qualified for the world.

Took Polly out tonight solo she made three trees and I looked at three coons and was back at home before 9pm. I also had a call from a Jason Murry who has a 8 mo. old heat pup off the Heat X Strawberry cross. Jason said she was split treed from two other dogs with the meat I could hear brandy hammered down in the background. These pups may be young but they are getting it done in the timber. The next year is going to be interesting there are several young heat pups that are going to be hitting the hunts in the next year.

Here is a video of Dixie taken lastnight. This was her first time in the timber. Jason said she went with the dogs and when the dogs treed she sat down and treed her heart out. He about broke his neck to get to the tree. Dixie just turned 5 mo. old on January 23rd. She is off of the last Heat and Money Honey cross.

Heats pups had a big weekend.
At the Kenansville RQE this weekend Bo a won his cast and placed second in the RQE. Congrats to John Costin and Bo.
I took Polly to snow camp this weekend she won her cast by getting off to herself and treeing the only coon seen on my cast. She took third place registered.

Took Polly to Southern Redbone Days last night. She won her cast and got another 3rd place. She got off to herself and treed the only coon we saw on our cast. She done a fine job for hunting in 6in. of snow and ice.

I believe it is 39 pups that Heat has. The oldest litter is 2 years old and the youngest is 5 mo. old. A lot of his pups are still young. He has 2 NTCH 3 with 1st. and a couple with wins on them. and some real nice young ones that will be making some noise in the near future.

Yea Heat has some nice pups out there. He has not been pushed in the hunts as hard as Iron. That is my fault I have a 2 year old at the house and I want to spend more time at home.

Iron is a good dog you cant go wrong getting a pup off of him also. Good luck with your pup.

Tarts Nellie picked up another cast win last night with 525+. It was good enough for a second place. Nellie is off of Heat and Tarts little bit. I also heard a littermate to Nellie named Fed Ex was hunted in the same hunt and did a good job should have won his cast but his handler made a mistake and cost him the cast win. This came from the man that won the cast.

I just breed Little Bits sister NTCH. Tarts Sue to Heat last week. These should be some nice pups I believe Sue has already produced 5 NTCH's off of her previous litters.
