Thanks for the advice Wendall, but I'm not sure if I should be taking it from a known law breaker. Lol. I think I will stray away from that. You Southern boys are a bad influence!! . Ya Tim , it's funny how word travels from Shebly county IN to Iowa. I think as a long as I stay away from Wendall and Richard it should be fine . They are always trying to get into trouble.

Jason,

My season is going very well for the conditions, we are putting a couple in a tree everynight and back home by 8:30 or 9:00. It has been pretty cold here for this time of the year and the frost is hitting pretty early. The Moon is a factor now since its almost full so tracks have been pretty short. Its supposed to warm up and get cloudy this weekend so I am looking forward to it. My dad is coming along better everyday. He makes it to close "easy" trees, but he is making a good truck driver and atv driver most of the time. We are not tearing the coons ,but theres no need to kill them all in the first few weeks .

Thanks for invite I would love to come up and hunt sometime. Whats the best time of the year to plan a trip for the future? When is your season?

I'm excited to see the great progress in my Boone and Toadie pup, Fancy. She just turned 6 months old and she ran and treed with are older female, Marlee tonight. She loves to fight a coon and is gone when you turn her loose. It's great to see the progress every time she is in the woods.

I have been having a decent season despite the cold weather here in Indiana for this time of the year. Boone has been treeing coons about every night and we are finally getting to take Marlee are 6 year old Sandy Creek Jake and Rusty Red bred female out to the woods. She has been in heat the past couple of weeks. I took her and had her AI'ed to Boone. So we are hoping for puppies in January. This should be a great cross that my Dad and I are excited about.

Jared, I saw where you had 6 inches of snow. I hope that Cid comes in heat this week so that I can come up and play in it. But you know me, I don't have much patience. If Mother Nature doesn't kick in on her own this week, then I am going to give her a helping hand. I wonder if I should start booking pups now or wait until she comes in heat? I like that pedigree. We will see if anything happens in the near future for some pups.

This weather here in central Indiana has not not been fun. It's really cold and snowy. We are expecting more snow this weekend . Cabin fever was setting in so I did take Boone out on Tuesday night in 4 inchs of snow and 15 degree weather. He went 870 yards on the first dump and made a den with a coon we could see in the hole. The second dump he made a 1.84 mile circle according to the Garmin and never opened. We drove around the other side caught and put him the truck and turned loose again. Then he went about 600 yards and made another den. I'm just glad the fields were frozen and we were able to drive within 100 yards of him every time. This weather isn't fun and there's not much moving here. Even the guys that trap around here aren't catching anything. We are hoping for a little break in the weather. Now I know how you northern guys feel .

Jared down here around Vincennes we got about a foot of snow and between plowing snow and it being teens at night I hadnt gone.Luckily we got rain instead of snow last night and melted some snow. I took Baxter out tonight for a lil bit and he made 3 trees, 2 coons and 1 big den. Hopefully its a sign of better hunting and hopefully no more snow. Good luck .

I'm glad you got the rain down there. We got all snow here again. We now have a good 7 inchs with a good 1inch crust on the top. I'm glad Baxter did well the other night and you got some coons on the ground . Im starting to forgot what a coon looks like. I did go Saturday night and make a dump and I got treed once in 40 minutes. He did run a cold track that went about 100 yards into a den. We I'm glad you did well. The weather is suppose to warm into the 40s for 2 days this week here. So maybe we will get some melted off. Then the full moon is this week as well . I'm sure ready to get some on the ground. We will just have to see how it goes.
