"God Is Still On The Phone "

Good Monday ! The weekend went by and here we are again , Its back to winter again In the 20'S 2 nite But warmin up again tomorrow . Lets get goin “God Is Still on the Phone”
“…ye have not, because ye ask not.” James 4:2
A little girl heard the choir singing that song “God Is Still on the Throne.” She didn’t understand it quite correctly and told someone they were singing “God is still on the phone.” Well, He is!
There’s a heavenly hotline and thankfully God is still on the phone! He answers our prayers. Prayer—that you and I can talk with God—is the greatest Christian privilege. The One Who scooped out the seas, heaped up the mountains, and flung out the stars—the omnipotent God — has invited us to talk with Him. There is no possible way I could overstate the importance of prayer. And I pray that you will never underestimate the importance of prayer.
Prayer is the Christian’s greatest privilege. It is the Christian’s greatest power. But it is also the Christian’s greatest failure. We have not because we ask not. May God forgive us. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ ,,, From The Riverbottom ,,,Ron Get on the phone give him a call he has a clear sound when were on our knees !

Wait--- Im To Pray Like A Horse Leaping Over A Barricade ?

Hello! Baby its cold out side ! 27 here this morning. Where in the world is spring ? and where did it go ? A couple days last week I sat out on my deck and drank coffee looking out out the riverbottoms. Right now I'm back to lookin out the dinning room windows with the space heater goin . While were waiting on Spring lets go to the message for the day. I'm To Pray Like A Horse Leaping Over a Barrricade?
“… The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” - James 5:16
These words, effectual and fervent, literally mean “stretched out.” The idea is of a horse jumping over a barricade, stretched out as he leaps. Or it’s like an athlete who’s running for the gold, and he bursts for the tape and stretches himself out for the goal. James says that’s the way we are to pray. Our prayers are to be on fire! They’re to be stretched out, and I don’t mean stretched out on your bed half asleep. We are to be striving for the goal. We’re to be eager, earnest, fervent, and impassioned in our prayers. God forgive our cold, lukewarm, milk toast, take-it-or-leave-it type of prayers.
When we give without sacrifice, pray without fasting, witness without tears, is it any wonder we sow without results?
How God has convicted my heart as I’ve studied the book of James! I’ve had to bow my head, confess my sin and say, “God, forgive my cold, lukewarm, indifferent prayers. May I learn how to pray effectually, fervently, as James taught us to pray.” What does James mean when he talks about the conditions that we should meet? He’s talking about the intensity of the asking. That’s the kind of prayer that brings results.God Loves Yas ,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,, Ron,, Sending Prayers for you all. We all have different prayer needs for different things ,, Sometimes big things, very important things ,sometimes little things ,,But ya know what ? A prayer is a prayer big or small and our LORD Jesus Christ will answer them all.In His Time.

A True Friend

Good Mornin ! Well Spring is back again for today. I'm gona go ahead and flip my garden dirt over and when I get back from vacation the 7th of May I'm gona put some lettus and a couple other early stuff in the ground . Its that time . Lets get on to the message for the day. " A man many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” — Proverbs 18:24
Friends come and go with the passing of time. Some friends are lifelong; others are friends only for a season. Some friends will always hold a special place in our hearts even though their love for us may have changed or diminished. Each of us has experienced friendships that fall into at least one, or perhaps all, of these categories.
As we consider our relationships with others, we would do well to ask, “What kind of friend am I?” Am I a fair weather friend who will be there for someone else only when it is convenient for me, or am I a true friend who is sincerely interested in the well being of another individual, regardless of the time and effort it costs me to nurture the friendship? If we are honest, most of us would admit to being disappointed by friends at one time or another. At times, we ourselves have been guilty of the same offense.
Earthly friendships are complicated because human beings are complicated, imperfect creatures. Nonetheless, there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother, and his name is Jesus.
Jesus is faithful, kind, and loving. He sees us just as we are and loves us, warts and all. When I can’t call on anyone else, I know that I can call on him. I know that he will never, ever stop being my friend and that he will always be with me. His Word assures me of that. Jesus has loved me with an everlasting love that is not dependent on my employment, my financial status, my outer beauty, my sense of humor, or my availability to provide a service or favor. If my circumstances change, Jesus remains faithful, true, and constant. Never too busy for one of his own, he talks to me and is always glad to hear my voice.
What a friend we have in Jesus! Oh, that we would be more like him in our own friendships! God Loves Yas,,,We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Prayers for all sent to our friend that's closer than a brother ,,, Jesus .

Romans 10:9-10

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Choose To Be Accepting

Hello All Its another day, God left us here for a reason ,Do you know why yer here ? Think about it ,, Youwill see . Lets get to the message for the day. Choose to Be Accepting

Scripture Reading — Romans 15:1-13
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
—Romans 15:7 —
We long for acceptance in our relationships. From childhood, we seek our parents’ approval even as we wish for independence. As adults, some of us may still hear a parent’s criticism ringing in our ears. We search for unconditional love in various relationships or continually strive to achieve yet more. We want somehow to earn love and acceptance.
We all delight in affirmation from others. Everyone wants to know that even with all of our faults, we are still appreciated, loved, and valued. We want others to accept us as we are without trying to change us.
Yet only God is able to love us unconditionally all of the time. We are loved—warts and all—and we were loved while we were still sinful. God loved us so much that he gave his only Son for us (John 3:16). That’s how God sees us.
God calls us to see others through his eyes. He calls us to accept others the way he does—as dearly loved, broken children of God who are created in his own image. God loves us as we are, and he challenges us to live into a life worthy of our calling.
Accepting each other and loving each other in spite of our faults will benefit one another, but, more important, it will bring praise to God. When Christians care for one another, God is glorified. Are you ready to praise God by seeing others the way he does?
Prayer
Lord, give us your eyes to see one another as your pre-cious children. Keep making us more like Jesus, we pray. Amen. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ ,,,From The Riverbottom Ron Prayers for all

1 Corinthians 15:20-22

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

Muzzel Yer Mouth !

Fridays ! Its Here at last. Have a nice weekend . Il see ya in church Sunday morning. Lets go with todays message . The one who guards his mouth preserves his life; the one who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - Proverbs 13:3
The big danger in swallowing your foot is that you may choke on it as it goes down. Guards are stationed at boundaries. “Free speech” does not mean liberty to blurt out one’s limited knowledge, mistaken conclusions, unproven assumptions and acidic gossip. All that leads to ruin. God promises protection to those who establish the boundaries of His truth and wisdom around their mouth. Specifically, God’s pledge is that such people maintain the wellness of their souls, not just their bodies. When you’re tempted to shoot off your mouth, muzzle your bullets with prayer. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day ,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,, Ron .. Prayers sent

1 Corinthians 15:55-57

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Victory in JESUS, my SAVIOR forever!

Good Mornin ! I had a great vacation with my friends at Black and Tan Days. It sure gos fast But the time spent with friends and memories made are the best part of it . I even got to to do some work for my Lord Jesus Christ everyday... Lets get to the message for today ! Why Can’t I Stop Doing Wrong?

“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us” (1 John 1:8 NIV).
Sin always involves self-deception. At the moment you’re sinning, you’re deceiving yourself because you think that what you’re doing will actually produce better results than what God has already told you to do.
To stop defeating yourself, you must stop deceiving yourself. You’ve got to take an honest look at your life, face the truth, and deal with the issues. Is there something in your life that you’re pretending isn’t a problem? Maybe an addiction? Something that you’re thinking is no big deal, when it really is a big deal?
It really doesn’t matter whether you’re addicted to heroin or abusing a credit card, whether you’re viewing pornography or reading a crude novel.Or even over eating. You’re using these things to escape something painful, or something hard to deal with. But you’re not going to find healing until you first acknowledge the root of your problem.
You don’t have to hit rock bottom before you really change. There are wake-up calls going on all around you right now, if you’ll only listen to them. But if you don’t, you’ll continue on a path toward destruction.
You don’t have to go that way! You can acknowledge the root of the issue and ask God to help you deal with it once and for all.
I’ve asked the professional counselors in our church, “What’s the biggest problem you encounter?” They say over and over, “People wait too long before they ask for help. Then it’s almost impossible to turn around.” There will be warning signs all over the place in a marriage, and then all of a sudden the husband or wife walks out. Far too many people stay in denial and wait until it’s too late, and so they go through unnecessary pain.
The Bible says, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us” (1 John 1:8 NIV).
What hard questions do you need to be asking yourself about the sin in your life? What warning signs have you been ignoring?
If you want healing, acknowledge the root of your problem, and face the truth about you. God is ready, willing and wanting to bring healing to your life.God can and will change things for anyone at any time , maybe not instantly like a person that does majic, But in his time he will work problems out that you think can never in no way can be solved , Give God a try, Ask him ,, He will make a BELIEVER out of anyone. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The RiverBottom ,,,Ron. Need a Special Prayer ? Just ask ...But for now I'm sayin a Prayer for you .

Forgiving a Friend Or Someone You Love

Hello All ! Summer is almost here,Another winter is past, Time is sure flying by as I get older ,, I'm on the down hill side of life but man it is sure is good and I wana make every day count and go down in the books as a great day and it will be with JESUS CHRIST leading the way ! Lets get to the message for the day ,, " Forgiving a Friend Or Someone You Love "
Do you remember this line in the Lord’s prayer?
Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.
The second part of that line—forgiving those who sin against us—can be one of the hardest things Christians are called to do. When someone says something horrible about you and you hear about it, or they hurt you physically, or they lie to you, or act without thinking about your feelings, it’s natural to want to stay angry, and make them feel how you feel. The world says, “get revenge! Stay bitter! Make them pay!”
But the Bible says, amongst other things:
“Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult” (1 Peter 3:9)
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice” (Ephesians 4:31)
“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse” (Romans 12:14).
It’s pretty clear that God wants us to forgive others and not hold on to our anger!
Here are some ways to help you forgive your friends and family when they hurt you, even when it’s really hard.
Remember why we forgive
What does the Lord’s prayer say? Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.
We are called to forgive others because God first forgave us!
Imagine a person who continually hurt you, said horrible things about you, rejected your guidance, wished you didn’t exist and lived a life that showed they didn’t care about you at all. Would you be able to forgive that person?
God did! God forgave that person and that person is me. That person is you. That person is all of us! Through the amazing gift of Jesus, God offered us forgiveness that we didn’t deserve, before we even said sorry. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
If God can forgive us so much, then we should forgive others when they wrong us.
Pray
Prayer is powerful! Rather than clinging on to pain and hurt, give it to God and tell him how you feel. Ask him to take away the negative feelings you have towards the person who wronged you. This can be hard, because it’s our tendency to want to hold onto hurt so that we can make the person feel guilty, but this is not a godly way to act. Pray for God’s help, and keep praying whenever the ugly feelings rear their heads. And, pray for the person who wronged you! Whatever the situation, whoever they are, they need to know that God loves them and will forgive them too.
Apologise if you need to
Often the worst hurts occur in the midst of a fight or argument.
Do you have something you need to apologise for? Even if the other person doesn’t apologise first (or never does), be the bigger person and show grace to your friend by apologising for the things you did wrong.
Don’t say “I’m sorry you feel angry”—humbly admit any wrongdoing by saying something like “I’m sorry I said that mean thing about you … I should not have said that”.
Try to love the person
Even after you think you’ve forgiven a person, negative feelings may still arise.
Keep praying about it! And then, if you can, try to love the person. This may take a number of different forms, but when I’m struggling to forgive a person, I try and think about the hard things they could be going through that might have prompted them to act badly.
If I can’t think of anything, I think about how all people are sinful. I am no better than this person who has hurt me. This helps me to forgive the person, because I remember that I, too, have hurt people in my life and I have no right to “be the first to throw a stone” (John 8:7).
Once your thoughts are loving, try expressing this in actions. Try and repair the friendship, and reassure your friend you still care about them. This will obviously be easier if your friend has admitted they did something wrong, but even if they didn’t you can try and move forward. God will move you in the direction he wants you to go... God Loves yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Prayers for all and All yer needs !

Give Thanks . . . In Everything

Hello .Its raining here in the Bottoms this morning This rain is good .All the corn is in the ground and needs a drink. Some of it is up and out of the ground already about a inch or so. The Mushroom season is in full swing ,I'm hearing of some of my neighbors finding as much as 8 to 10 pounds of those little jewels. There are guys selling them for as much as $85 dollars a pound. I hope I keep my health and have a son that brings me some ,as much as I like them I just couldn't bring my self to pay that for those things.Well lets get to the message for the day. when I get done I'm headed to find me a mess of those $85 dollar a pound things that will be free for me . Give Thanks . . . In Everything

Someimes, worship and thanksgiving can be a sacrifice. That may be because we are down, depressed, or things are not comfortable for us. Perhaps hardship or tragedy has struck our lives in some way and we do not want to thank God. Yet, the Bible urges us to give thanks to the Lord. Psalm 106:1 says, "Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever." We are also told in Colossians 3:17, "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." And Hebrews 13:15 says, "Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name." We are not told to give thanks to the Lord because we feel good. We are to give thanks to the Lord because He is good.

As we approach God to ask for new blessings, we should never forget to offer thanks for the blessings He has already given. We must be just as quick in returning thanks as we are in requesting help; but many times, we are not. We are quick to ask for help, but we are slow in giving thanks.

Sometimes, giving thanks can be difficult, because we feel like we have been dealt a bad hand in life or things have happened to us that we do not fully understand. But here is something we need to remember: "In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:18). This verse does not say to give thanks in some things, or in what you believe are good things; it says to give thanks in all things.

Now, it is easy for me to give thanks when something wonderful happens to me. However, when something bad takes place, I think, "I won't give thanks for that." I don't know that we will ever fully comprehend what was good or bad in our lives until much later. I would even suggest that what you think is a bad thing today might in turn be a good thing for tomorrow or down the road. And what you have thought of as a good thing may, in time, turn out to be a bad thing. I believe that when you look back years from now, you will be able to say that the Lord knew what He was doing.

It is easy to give thanks to God when you are prospering and life is pleasant; but are you just as grateful when afflictions approach and tragedy hits? We never know what God has planned, but we must trust and give thanks along the way. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom ,,,Ron... Prayers for all ..

Romans 8:1-2

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

One Of The Greatest Lesson's I Evere Heard

Good morning ! Its getin pretty hot down here in the bottoms ,,Where is Spring ? It looks like were not gona have any.. Now to todays message,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, One Of The Greatest Lessons I Ever Heard
“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” Genesis 2:24
A boy responded disrespectfully to his mother, and his dad responded this way:
“Son, when you disrespected your mother, you sinned against God because God says you are to honor her (Exodus 20:12). You’re going to have to answer to God for that. And you sinned against her, and you’re going to have to answer to her for that.”
But then he added, “Not only is she your mother, she’s my wife. And you’re not going to talk that way to my wife. Now you’ve got me to deal with because you have disrespected my wife.”
What kind of lesson is that to a youngster? For a husband to protect his wife is one of the greatest lessons I have ever heard in my life! God Loves yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,, Ron,,, Prayers we all need them ...

Ephesians 4:32

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
