The Rich Short Ruler

Good Mornin Well , I have ate my share of Morrell Mushrooms . There almost done for the season. But thanks to my son for helpin me find a few good mess's of those things, I'm done till next year. We gave a few pounds to neighbors that cant get through the woods to find them, you would of thought Id given them a million dollars . I'm glad they enjoyed them. Lets get to the message for the day. Zacchaeus: The Rich, Short Ruler
He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. (Luke 19:3)
Everyone in town knew him, but nobody liked him. He threw the worst parties and was always the first one drunk on his horribly cheap wine. It’s not as though he couldn’t afford anything better. Zacchaeus sat atop the whole dirty, tax-collecting heap, and from their years of overpaying collectors, the savvy residents of Jericho knew their money could buy better wine.
So when rumor started that a well-known teacher from the backwater of Galilee who had a penchant for waxing eloquent about money matters was making his way to Jericho, you can bet the person everyone least expected to see in the welcoming party was Zacchaeus. To everyone’s surprise the little man, dressed to the nines, showed up anyway. This teacher was, after all, growing extremely popular, and maybe it would do the collection agency’s reputation some good to see its chief officer rubbing shoulders with a hero of the working class. But when the day arrived, if Zacchaeus had come to be seen, the irony was only too apparent when it was he who had trouble seeing.
The crowds had started at the city gate where Jericho’s main drag began its meandering path through the city. Despite his compromised stature, Zacchaeus had always loved a crowd—crowds meant influence and power, not to mention a concentration of taxable pocketbooks. This small-town teacher’s people skills and crowd-gathering ability could come in handy for an unpopular political figure. If only Zacchaeus could see how this teacher did it.



Zacchaeus knew the parade route well, as he’d been a key figure in many of Jericho’s past spectacles. Picking up the fine linen hem of his garment, the short-legged tax collector hightailed it to a certain bend where the road took a dogleg left to get around a large sycamore tree near the center of town. He hadn’t climbed a tree since all his friends were still his height, and if all of Jericho hadn’t been down the road heralding the teacher, the crowd would have relished watching Zacchaeus fumble his way up the branches.
The only thing sillier than watching Zacchaeus climb up the tree was to see him come barreling out of it when the teacher called him by name: “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today” (Luke 19:5). The crowd must have groaned, knowing the dismal reputation of the tax collector’s social insensitivity. However, over the huffs, Zacchaeus’s voice rose up, “Here and now I’m a different person.” Whether or not he realized at that moment that the crowd was standing there has been a topic of conjecture ever since.
• Why do you think Zacchaeus wanted so badly to see Jesus?
• What measures are you willing to take to gain a clearer “sight” of Jesus?
• Jesus invites himself into your heart: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me” (Revelation 3:20). What can you do to show Jesus that you want him to “come in ? All ya gota do is ask him and your life from that moment will never be the same , Ya want Joy and Happiness ? Ya want Peace and Understanding ? Ya Want The Best Rest Of Your Life ? What in the world are you waiting for , Ask JESUS into your life today, right now,You will never regret doing it ! God At Work !

Good Mornin ,, I like mornins like this one ,, A little rain falling ,The sounds of song birds , The Rooster crowin , The chickens cackling, The Pigs oinking, and cows mooing , what better sounds to hear than the ones that God made for us to hear,, Lets get to todays message
God At Work
May he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13:21
“How have you seen God at work lately?” I asked some friends. One replied, “I see Him at work as I read the Scriptures each morning; I see Him at work as He helps me face each new day; I see Him at work when I know that He has been with me every step of the way—I realize how He has helped me to face challenges while giving me joy.” I love his answer because it reflects how through God’s Word and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, God stays near to, and works in, those who love Him.
God working in His followers is a wonderful mystery that the writer to the Hebrews refers to as he draws his letter to a close in what’s known as a benediction: “. . . and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ” (Hebrews 13:21). With this conclusion, the writer reinforces the essential message of his letter—that God will equip His people to follow Him and that God will work in and through them for His glory.
Your gift can help bring people back to the Lord.

The gift of God working in us can take us by surprise; perhaps we forgive someone who wrongs us or show patience to someone we find difficult. Our “God of peace” (v. 20) spreads His love and peace in and through us. How have you seen God at work lately?

How The Body Functions

Hello! Its a great day ! That The Lord Has made . Acts 6:1-8
So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word. Acts 6:2-4
It would be very easy to read that as though the apostles were saying, We're too good to serve tables. After all, we're apostles. Let's pick out seven flunkies who can do that, while we devote ourselves to the tremendously spiritual work of prayer and preaching the word. If you read it that way you completely misread this passage because that is not what they did at all.
Remember that these apostles had been in the upper room with the Lord Jesus. They had seen him divest himself of his garments, gird himself with a towel, take a basin of water, and wash their filthy, dirty feet. They had heard his words, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves.... (Luke 22:26). They were not, in any sense, downgrading the ministry of serving tables. They made this decision on the basis of a difference in spiritual gifts. Here we have a very clear example of the way the early church assigned duties upon the basis of the distribution of gifts by the Holy Spirit.
The glory of this church was that they were conscious of the superintendency of the Holy Spirit — so aware that the Lord Jesus himself, by means of the Spirit, was the head of the church. He was apportioning gifts, giving certain ministries to various individuals and sending them out, giving the orders. All through this book of Acts you can see tremendous manifestation of the direction of the Holy Spirit.
Here, then, they recognize that he had given various gifts. The apostles understood that their gift was that of an apostle. They were to lay the foundation of the church, for it was given to the apostles to lay foundations. That foundation is the Scriptures. It is on the Scriptures that the church rests. The minute the church departs from these Scriptures it loses its strength, its light and understanding, and its ability to operate. That has always been true. Whenever the church has rested upon the foundation laid by the apostles, the truth as it is in Jesus, the church has always had strength, power, and grace.
Therefore it was necessary that the apostles give themselves to the ministry of apostleship, which involved, prayer and the ministry of the word. As they met together in prayer they learned and understood the mind of God. The Spirit of God reminded them of things which the Lord Jesus had taught them, and they in turn imparted this to the church. At that time, none of the New Testament was in writing. Yet all of the truths which we have reflected in these New Testament pages were being uttered by the apostles as they taught the people from place to place. They taught them what we now have written down for us. And all we have, of course, is the word of the apostles. This whole New Testament is nothing but the word of the apostles given to us. So it was essential, as they understood it, to devote themselves to this.
But they recognized also that there were other gifts of the Spirit. There were gifts of helps and gifts of wisdom, and men and women in this vast congregation had these gifts. So all they are doing here is charging the church with finding among themselves men who had gifts which would qualify them to do this kind of work — gifts of helps and gifts of wisdom — that they might know how to solve these practical problems within the church. They are saying, every gift is important. We simply are sticking with the gifts that were given to us, and we want you to find among yourselves those who have other gifts.
Father, thank you for the gifts you have given me and I ask that you will teach me to serve you accordingly.
Life Application: Do we seek to discover and put to use individual gifts distributed by the Holy Spirit? Do we honor each gift for its distinctive value, as we use them to serve His calling? The Bible declares that we who follow Christ should be just as much in love with each other as God was in love with us when He sent His Son to die on the cross. The moment we come to Christ, Scripture says, God gives us supernatural love that is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. The greatest demonstration of the fact that we are Christians is that we love one another. Why not go out of our way to be a friend to someone whose skin is a different color from ours? Love does more to solve our problems than anything else does. Of all the gifts God offers His children, love is the greatest. Of all the fruits of the Holy Spirit, love is the first.

Who Makes The Suffering in This Life Worth It?

Good Mornin ! In the Last week ,I have had 2 very close friends leave this earth and go on to be with the LORD. Both friends left quickly with no warning. What a shock it was to me. One minute I was talkin and jokein around with them and within a few days I get a call that my friend Rick had passed away and the very next day I get a call my friend Woody had past away.It was so quick and fast and WHAM ! I get those calls. Right here { My Friends } is why if you haven't asked Jesus into your life,I Pray that you do.If I could ask JESUS for each and everyone of you to come into your lives ,I would do it for each and everyone of you. But,, I cant. God wants you to make that decision so he knows it was you that truly wanted him to be a part of your life. I know that each of you that hasn't asked JESUS into your life has someone that's been in your life that you loved dearly that you knew in your heart that they Loved Jesus pass away. They my friend went to Heaven. Because they Believed in God The Almighty...Wouldn't it be AWSOME That there might be a sliver of a chance of seeing , hugging them , talkin to them, Kissing them on the cheek ...and the only thing keeping that from maybe happening is you didn't take about a minute of your time and ask JESUS into your life ?Also experienceing all the good Blessings that Jesus will give you each day. Then you pass away, there you are in Hell with SATAN the OLE DEVIL, Laughing at you, tormenting you,, Saying to you,,,JESUS CHRIST was real very real and you could of been in Heaven right now !!!!! HAHAHA ! But I have you here in Hell with me and theres nothing you can do about it !!! Just typing this last sentence SCARES ME. Ask Jesus into your life and know where your gona go ! If I wasn't completely sure there about there being a Hell,, I know what id be doin ,,and Id be doin it right now.I Pray ya ask Jesus into your life, I have been serious about what Ive just Typed , I care about you and so does JESUS.. Lets get to the message for the day... Who Makes the Suffering of This Life Worth It?

I’ve heard it said so many times that it’s hard to be a Christian. Where did you get that? You didn’t get it out of the Word of God.{ The BIBLE } It’s not hard to be a Christian.
Listen, the Bible says that “the way of the transgressor is hard” (Proverbs 13:15), but it’s not hard to be a Christian. I’m having a wonderful time serving the Lord Jesus.
You say, “You mean there’s no suffering?” There’s suffering in this world whether you’re saved or lost. You’re not going to get out unbent, unbloodied, or unbowed. But I want to tell you, there is joy in the Lord Jesus Christ; and Jesus is the One who makes the sufferings of this life worth it all.
If you are struggling and straining today to “lead the Christian life.” then something is out of whack. Jesus said, “I will give you rest.” Come to Him right now in humility and lay down the heavy burden.Ask him into your life... God Loves Yas,,,We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,, Ron, Prayers for all ! Please concider asking GOD into your life. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

Revelation 21: 2-4

I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Ephesians 3:17-19

True Dependability

Good Mornin ! Summer is here ,The garden is growin, Grass is growin fast,Time is Flying . I wish I was more dependable and could get things done in a better time . Well heres yer message for the day. True Dependability
Which of your friends is most dependable?
How important is dependability in a relationship?
1 John 1:9
You may have noticed that people are not always dependable. People make mistakes. People say one thing and then do another. People forget things. People break promises. Many people try to live good lives, but no one is perfect.
But God is perfect. God never has an “off” day. His rules are perfect. He is perfectly consistent. He’s never in a bad mood. He will never say one thing and then do another.
He is faithful to his Word—and he’s faithful to us. He was there when we needed him yesterday. He’s there when we need him today. And he’ll be there when we need him tomorrow. We can count on him to be exactly who he says he is and to do exactly what he says he will do.
Not only is he faithful, God is also just. He will punish all injustice. He will defend his people. Sometimes it may look as though people get away with sin. Sometimes it may seem as though bad people prosper while good people suffer. But ultimately, God will administer justice.
Dear God, thank you for being faithful to us. Thank you for never making us wonder whether we can trust you. Help us show that same kind of dependability to other people. Amen. Are You To Good To Be Saved ?

Good Mornin ! Friday is here and the weekend of work is upon us. Things build up during the week and The Weekend is the only time ya have to get caught up.. But we never get caught up there is always somethin to get done.. Lets get to the message for the day. .Are You Too Good to Be Saved?

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
You may see yourself as a “righteous” sinner, a “moral” sinner, a “church member” sinner, a “fine up-standing” sinner, or an “educated” sinner; but you are a sinner.
And the Bible says that Jesus alone is God's answer to man's sin. Without Jesus Christ, nothing can be done for your sin. With Jesus Christ, nothing else need be done. Until you admit you’re a sinner and believe that Jesus is the Savior, you’ll never be saved.
I’ll say it again: none is so bad that they cannot be saved, and none is so “good” that they need not be saved.
Acts 16:31 says, “…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved...” And once you are saved, the Bible says, “…though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18). Ask Jesus into yer life right now if ya need him .. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day ,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom Ron...
