Thanks finch. Mud treed about 20 yards from haze the other night. Had a big pine tree with grape vines all in it. Didn't get anything to look but that's okay. He's got a long way to go before he makes the cut and he'll have to show me something while hunting on national forest so he has an uphill battle ahead of him. We'll see what happens. All I'm looking for right now is a willingness to participate and then just steady progression from there. It's all up to him.

Well, today,11/12, is haze's 10th birthday. Happy Birthday ole boy. I think you might be the only remaining dog alive from your litter. Grand nite Sid, nite ch hurnie, locket and crank are all gone.

Congrats to you and Haze. Pastor, you must take good care of him. That's important.

I sure wish you'd take more video of him. While you can't see much at night, you can hear him. A million photos can't do that. He has a great voice and that yodeling bawl locate is to die for--very haunting and beautiful. I know it's hard to get in the right position to get that done and you have to just get lucky, but I think you'll be glad you did so later when you get to be an old buzzard like me and would give your last dollar to hear him hit the tree and cry out like that again before he rolls it over and locks it down.

I know we're supposed to get smarter as we get older, but I can't promise you that--mostly you just come to learn that it's true what they say when they say that "there's no fool like an old fool", but you can sure trust me on this.

As I'm sure you tell your parishioners, you should live your life so you will have no regrets. When you're old, you don't want to regret not having more video of that great hound Our Lord blessed you with.

Happy birthday and here's wishing for many more.

I took haze out with a young female out of him tonight for a birthday hunt. Had a good hunt treeing two singles on national forest. Took a few pictures and videos with my phone. They both got rewarded for their efforts.

Hey roger, I would love to bring in haze but I don't think Allison would like it to much...lol.
