all we can do is hope the good lord thinks we all have had enough of this cold and bad winter and contiue to give us this nice weather i may even run the beagles again tommoro think i need to start pokein around looking for another hound now that season is over

Well howdy,it's another day & I'm off & runnin',or gonna be here sometime I went over to a big fish fry last night & got my gills full,should be good till spring or mid summer,& the fish never came from lake of the open sewer lines & northwind wasn't there either.

Yep I was a winner both ways
POP QUIZ .... for any & or everybody question .... How long will a coon lay up on the outside? Got one here right now in front of the house across the creek layed up on the outside from a den tree, you won't be graded & the points don't matter.

id say with this weather and how hungry he is probly within i-1/2 hrs he will be on the move maybe less but i will probly get a f for my thoughts lol keep a eye on him let us know

I spotted one once that was just laying out in the sun after a big cold spell about this time of year,so I went sneakin down thinking it might be dead or hungup after being shot. Turned out to be an old sow soaking up some sunrays ,she had some kittens in that tree she was taking a break from is what I figured ,she spooked after I threw a snowball at her. I figured she had one of the early litters cause I've seen tiny kittens up til late May .

That yard dog this mornin' was what got my attention to that coon,she was lookin' up & no bark,that coon came out of a tree next to the one I seen it in at 8:00 this mornin' & is gone now but was still in that tree at 4:00 this evenin' when I left,just got back & didn't see it so I reckon they can lay up for as long as 8 hrs. or more.Dog never kept it up there cause she left it when I was out & about this mornin'.A good lay up hound is worth it's weight in gold.

Man it's been a great day ..... warm,sunny,light breeze,sure beats last Sunday's weather,got 47 & still nice out. Skinned 2 yotes,got the powerwasher ready for tomorrow,so far life is good & gettin' better. Hey where's Mike hidin' at?
