Hey Chris. Bull hunts pretty good. Not a straight line hunter, but will work his way out, even though I think he will hunt what's easiest sometimes. He usually gets struck between 300 and 800 yards. Had him get struck at 900 one night and was treed by the time he got to 1000. He consistently gets out to 600 to 800 yards but normally gets struck in that range. In our country, he hunts plenty deep enough for me. The older I get the steeper these hills seem to get. The furthest I've had him go was last February on a cold moonlight night, he went 1.4 mile one way according to the garmin. I was on a mountain and turned him down a steep hollow. I sat on top of the Dogbox trying to figure out how I was going to get to him if he got treed....lol. He went around 5 hollows with water in them and never found a coon track......that's national forest in Virginia in February.....lol. I was glad he circled back around, I drove down the road and picked him up a half a mile the opposite direction from where he hunted. He's turning into a nice dog and is pretty accurate. He'll be 3 at the end of January. I've hunted him mostly alone his whole life.
