Well, for the second time my ole mammy dog, LudaBell has contracted coonhound paralysis. She's had it for a couple weeks now and I have a couple weeks to go before she can get back on her feet and it will pass.
There's no cure for it so it just has to pass like a cold bug. It's been tough nursing her 24/7 but she is worth more than the trouble of it to me. She's treed more than her share of ringtails and has produced some fine pups in all her litters.
Probably I will never own another like her. She started treeing on her own at 2 and half and three months old, on squirrels and 4 months old her first coon by herself. Never seen one that natural and tree that young by their self.
She was super fast and no quit in her before the paralysis.
LudaBell is double bred Schenker's jet and double bred Bttb Cane.
I nicknamed her the machine cause you can't turn her off. She just would hunt till she dropped if you didn't catch her in the timber.
I hope she gets better, as I am sure worried about her.

EXCITED TO ANOUNCE THAT 'PR' HURRICANE CREEK SHINE-UM UP SON, WON BEST MALE OF SHOW AND QUALIFIED FOR THE WORLD SHOW CHAMPIONSHIP THIS PAST WEEKEND AT GILL,AR. EAST AR. COONHUNTERS CLUB, R.Q.E.
HE HAS WON OVERALL AT TWO SECTIONALS AND THIS RQE, SO THIS MAKES HIM A SHOW CHAMPION NOW!
I HAD A GREAT TIME AND GOT TO TALK TO SOME OLD FRIENDS AND MADE A FEW NEW. I DIDN'T STAY FOR THE HUNT, BUT I BET THE HUNTIN WAS TOUGH, DUE TO ALL THE WATER.

Just an update on my "Ole Mammy dog", LudaBell has recovered from the coonhound paralysis. I sure am glad to see her up and about and back to her old fussy self!
I'm gonna give her a little longer till I let her get out and stretch her legs in the timber. I don't know what I'd do, if I couldn't walk out in my backyard and scratch her old ears and see that old heifer fussin and barkin at me and the squirrels! LOL

I HAD A GREAT TIME AT BLACK AND TAN DAYS! IT WAS A SPECIAL PLEASURE TO TALK BLACK AND TANS WITH ART HUNZIKER, AND WAS NICE GETTING TO SEE HIM AGAIN!
I ENJOYED THE SHOW, BUT DIDN'T GET A WIN. IT GAVE ME AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE AND I CAN LEARN FROM IT TO HELP ME OUT NEXT YEAR SHOWING.
WE DIDN'T BRING ANYTHING TO HUNT THIS YEAR, BUT STILL HAD A GOOD TIME VISITING WITH EVERYONE!

I have a few young females I want to sell. I just don't make the time to hunt all these young dogs anymore, and need to make room. They need to be in the hands of someone that wants to hunt them constantly.
--- LadyBell is a 3 year old. Finished. $999.95 She is out of my Nite Ch. Dozer and Gr. Ch. Tora Bella. Bella is now owned by Rachel Weinstock in Ohio. Dozer is a grandson of BTTB Cane and he has Albert, World Ch. Buck, Myers breeding, Minehart and many more in his bloodlines.5/23/18 PRICE INCREASE $1,200.98
-- LadyBell hunts out about 100 yards to 300, she is tight on a track. keeps her nose to the ground. She is a little reserved on the tree and not a very loud chop on tree.
She qualified for the World show and was in the World Show in 2016. but did not get thru the finals on bench.
--- Laila May is a year old female with a good mouth and she is Schenker's bred and BTTB Tex, Tenn. Ranger. Very good bloodline. She has only been to the woods a handful of times. She is a very gamey female. $150.

Lots of Great Things happening in our Breed here lately! I'm proud to say I'm a member of the BNT Assoc. and hope to see continued improvements!
This makes me want to step up my game, more and more. I have several new ideas and future crosses to make, so stay tuned and I will keep everyone posted.

I had a great hunt last nite with my son and some of my young hounds. Kill season just came back in, in Arkansas. It sure was hot and I was soaked to the bone with sweat, but we had a lot of Fun!!
Liz is really turning it on and I was very pleased with her. Skipper still needs to get a clue. Ha! Ha! but he will I'm sure in due time!
I had a very pleasant conversation with a Nice man from Arizona, and I'm pleased to announce that LadyBell will have a new home out there soon. Her tracking ability, she ought to make a nice big game hound!

HAD A HOT AND HUMID HUNT AND MET A KNEW FRIEND. I REALLY ENJOYED OUR HUNT TIME JON. WE DIDNT TREE ANY AND ONLY STRUCK A COUPLE OF OLD DRY BAD COLD TRACKS BUT IT WAS STILL ENJOYABLE!

I'm looking forward to cooler weather although we did get a break in the humidity. I hope everyone is staying cool and getting a little hunting time in.
As of right now I am working on 5 or 6 young dogs and I have my hands full. Anyone is welcome to come hunt with me anytime you are in my neck of the woods!

HAD SOME PRETTY GOOD HUNTS THIS WEEKEND. OLE HAWGONE WALKED MY LEGS OFF FOR ABOUT 4 OR 5 MILES ROUND TRIP. LOL
I AM EXCITED, THAT I GOT A SURPRISE LAST NITE AND A YOUNG LADY FROM SOUTH ARKANSAS IS WANTING TO BREED HER 2 YEAR OLD TO HAWKGONE. TURNS OUT HER FEMALE IS A 5TH GENERATION OFF OF MY STOCK.

HAD A GREAT HUNT WITH MY BUDDIES JASON & JOEY. OLE DOZER AND RUCK-US PUT THE SMOKE ON OLE RICKY. HAD A REAL LONG TRACK, WHICH IS COMMON WHERE I HUNT.
THEY HAD SOME DOUBTS WE WERE RUNNING A COON BUT WE ENDED UP TREEING IT! THAT WAS ONE OF THOSE HUNTS, THAT YOU WILL REMEMBER ALWAYS!
