Virus

If folks would watch the Doctors video of what the virus does to your lungs, they would definitely not want to catch this stuff. Hope every one stays safe and listens to all the reasons to protect yourself, maybe we can minimize the deaths. Dave

Yes it is!!!

I'm taking every precaution I can.

My wife and kids haven't left the house or backyard (nearest neighbor 1/4 mile away) for 3 weeks. So they do get outside. They are doing classwork online (my wife is a teacher).

I still have to go to work (essential service), but can pretty much lock myself into my office (minimal contact).

I'm now the designated shopper (since I have to leave the house anyway). Avoiding Wal Mart (that's where everyone goes). Wearing a mask (double mask) if I have to stop to buy anything (ex. dog food). Basically, just home to work and back.

We can't totally eliminate the risk, but, we can make our best efforts to reduce the risks.

Feel really bad for the people working in healthcare right now (I used to be a healthcare administrator). So, a lot of my former colleagues are now on the front-line of this pandemic.

Please take every precaution you can (for the benefit of yourself and others).

Their timeline is GMT (Greenwich Meridian Time). I had to look that up. It's 4 hours different than Eastern Standard Time, so their midnight = 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.

World: 3/27 = 596,366 Cases. 3/20 = 275,550 Cases. Divide the 3/27 number by the 3/20 number and you get 2.16. So world cases more than doubled in 1 week.

U.S.: 3/27 =104,126 Cases. 3/20 = 19,367 Cases. Divide the 3/27 number by the 3/20 number and you get 5.38. So the U.S. cases have more than quintupled in 1 week. Think about that: 538% of the previous week numbers.

We are now the epicenter of this virus, and it's going to get much wors

All I can say is dismiss the bullsh*t and be as careful as you can be. This isn't going away anytime soon.

Have ya'll read that they been experimenting with IVERMECTIN ? Say they are seeing reduction in virus to 0 in couple of days.

Anti-parasitic drug Ivermectin can kill COVID-19 coronavirus within 48 hours, claim Australian scientists

In a major breakthrough, a joint study led by researchers from Monash University's Biomedicine Discovery Institute (BDI) in Melbourne, Australia and Peter Doherty Institute of Infection and Immunity (Doherty Institute), has shown that an anti-parasitic drug which is already available in the market can be used to kill within 48 hours.
"We found that even a single dose could essentially remove all viral RNA by 48 hours and that even at 24 hours there was a really significant reduction in it," Dr. Wagstaff said.
It is to be noted that Ivermectin is an FDA-approved drug that is also effective in vitro against a broad range of viruses including HIV, Dengue, Influenza and Zika virus.

Oh my goodness, Trump was wrong. It is only Thursday and the curve has flattened. Jen, there are only 900 active cases in Oklahoma now. It sure does look like we will be ready to go to Miami in the middle of June.

I'm hoping so. Ronnie called me over the weekend to get my thoughts and I told them to leave the date and advertise as tentative. At the end of May we will see where we are at and what the state's plan is.
I truly think this thing was here in this area going like wildfire in February, everyone was sick and weren't testing positive for flu A or B. Several of the schools closed for disinfecting.

17,000 people have died from the Carona Virus so far. 35,000 people died from influenza last year. How many got their flu shot last year?

I had a bad allergic reaction to something yesterday, I never been allergic to anything in my life. So naturally I thought I was dying my head and neck swollen up like a basketball and a rash from head to toe. You talking about hard to see a doctor after going to 3 walk in clinics finally got to see a doctor then they didn't want to give me a shot said it might weaken my immune system against covid 19. I told them I didn't care give me a shot. I'm glad I did it started working 2 hours later. It's a bad time to have something happen to you they are scared to death of covid 19 wondering what's going to happen when covid 2.0 shows up. By the looks at the grocery store toilet paper must be the cure of covid 19.

Marion County just got designated as a "hot spot" in WV. Mon and Harrison counties had already been designated as "hot spots". Be aware that the Marion County cases are primarily Fairmont. Also, be aware that confirmed cases are much lower than actual cases. I'd make every effort to avoid Wal Mart. And, remember, Morgantown is worse, and Bridgeport/Clarksburg is also a problem area.

People calling their doctors to see if they can get tested are being told to stay home until they are symptom free. So, it's worse than reported.

from what ive heard you have to have symtoms of the virus or they won't test you the wifes son inlaw had a headache his work sent him to get tested he didn't have enough symptoms to test so he was sent away my wife has really bad health if she get's this she most likely make it we only go out if it's a have to case we shouldn't have to go out all month unless we run out of some of our meds wv isn't at a high percentage as most states imo beause our govorner acted lot quicker than other states most are listening and we are a small state

Is it "wishful thinking"? It looks like curves are flattening. New deaths, number of new cases, number of hospital admissions, number of ICU admissions are all dropping. New commission to "study" and advise Trump when to start sending people back to work is being formed. It looks to me like quarantines will be lifted in some states/areas in 3 weeks. We should know what is going on by the end of this week. Even gloom and doom Fauci is saying that some people can go back to work by the middle of May.
