Haze great grandpup won 3rd overall at American Redbone Days last night. The legend lives on. And those Haze great great grandpups were all sold before they were even born.

Haze great grandpup won Opposite Sex Overall at ARD this past weekend. Any idea just how many of his offspring have won Overall Champion or Opposite Sex at Redbone Days? I know Sheba, Wendy and Banks have.

I think Rachel did at southern as well as Frog.

Haze great grand pup

My pup Bear is off Bull who is off Horse Harry and Frog Dawg, He has been in on over 100 trees in the last 3 months, this is probably the best summer I have ever had as far as treeing coons in the summer. He hunts the way I want and he wants to please, I have him broke to hunt fairly close, bawl mouth with a nice locate , can put pressure on a hot one for sure, not real good on old feeder tracks yet and is trashy sometimes, He will switch over on a coon sometimes but is still learning. I like him a lot, probably will never be in a hunt but will put fur on the board for sure. Makes lots of mistakes but if he is on he looks like a million bucks. I am hunting the hair off him now, mostly by himself lately because he was getting most of the trees on my old female. I will not hunt him with strange dogs yet because I want him very independent, he just turned two in June. We are having fun.

I also have a pup off Bull. He has been treeing coons by himself since he was eight months old. He is loud, opens quick and usually you have to pull him off a tree or tone him back in. Without the tone button you will have to run him down or wait until he trees somewhere. Only trash that he has run has been bobcats. One day we will have a season on them so I just let him run them. Will not hunt or tree with a strange dog. If you turn four dogs loose, and all dogs are headed north, he will go about 50 yds then head West, east, or south. He will work with dogs he knows. Have noticed here lately he starting to wind coons. If you don't hunt him at least three night a week, he will start chewing on the kennel. Nate Ratcliff has Ike's litter mate. All in all I like my dog off bull x brixx. Just turned two years old at the end of July.

Sounds good guys. Bill.....if he will put fur in the freezer.....when he matures a bit, he'll do his share of winning.

Mike, sounds like yours is what the coondog world likes......deep and alone.

Sounds like Bull crossed good on your good females. Thanks for bringing them to him. He hasn't bred a female since yours Mike.

RIP Frog

Last Monday Frog left us due to kidney/renal failure. I loved that ole girl. She was a good one who treed coons all over the country and also did her share of winning. She has reproduced some nice ones as well. I just loved her personality, a little quirky at times but that�s what made her the Frog Dawg. She looked like a hound should, blocky head and long ears. She was my buddy.

Frog Dawg.

Very sorry to hear about Frog. Beautiful hound with a beautiful voice. I lost my best dog, Pretty Belle, earlier this year in March to leukemia. I still miss her every day, so I know exactly how you feel. Maybe it helps just a little to know that others empathize with your loss.

It helps more to know that God saw fit to bless you with such a fine friend as Frog. These's a reason that happened so don't get too down, get your chin up and be proud of that friendship. I'd like to hear if you still have any of her pups, so you can see some of her in them. There's a kind of immortality in that, as much as one can hope for this side of Heaven.
