wasn't to bad of a day here little on the chilly side when the sun when in had a light wind all day work the horses for 2 hrs i wore my tabogan and cloves chucks wife probly take him out to a big steak dinner for his birthday

Got lucky buddy , wife couldn't find the candles for the cake ,,,lol,lol, all I had to blow out was one candle . But it sure was great German chocolate cake .

Howdy 50 this mornin',things is lookin' up,on the news this mornin' their all in a buzz about the growth of bobcats in Illinois,population est. is 3000 to 3500 now,& with the most in southern part of the state.....feed them kitty's Mike,you know what I mean Vern.

You can keep those little cats down there ,We got the big cats up here . See them on the news every so often , cops even killed one that they showed on TV ,had him stretched out in front of a Harley to show how big it was .

TD I broke and trained Quarter Horses for 23 years. We showed them all over the United States in AQHA. We had our last horse put down 2 years ago. Tore all my stalls out and converted it to a dog kennel. I will just mow unless you want to come down and mow this ole man s yard for him. I even have a Aussie that will ride with you while mowing.

The dnr says there ain't no big cats in Illinois Chuck till people started provin' 'em wrong. You wouldn't like the way I'd mow it Mike .... liquid mow is the way ta go. A windy 73 degrees right now,gonna try & do some fishin' this weekend.

evening guys just got back about hr ago im tucker out but we enjoyed the trip went to the sell barn check hay prices good alalfa and orchard grass mix was bringing anywhere from 150 to 300 dollars a ton went to the blsksmith shop then the harness shop bought 400 dollars worth of bloodbuilder and vitimans seen alot of 4to 6 horse hitchs plowin the big corn and oats feilds sure woulda like to have hold them lines for awhile lol

Where bouts did you run up to in Ohio hillbilly ? I lived in Loudonville for 4 years and worked in Holmesville in a machine shop .

we was all over the area charm baltic farmerstown mt hope i know the main roads but my buddy knows how to cut through them back roads and i get all mix up lol i did buy me a clock at the clock shop my wife says i spend to much money when we go

Mt. Hope is where hold some big horse sales , been there . That is some nice rolling ground around that country . Do you know any Hershbergers from that area ?

ive heard that name but can't say i know any of them if im not mistaken some of them own a store we get our vitimans from inbetween mt hope and farmerstown we mostly deal at yoders harness shop and the blacksmith shop is own by joe yoder and bowmans harness shop we get our pulling collars out of indina can't think of his 1st name but his last name is kneep has neeps collar shop that is some nice ground out in that area they gettin ready to have a big draft horse sell at mt hope next month id fit right in with the amish but they would run me off cause im english lol i got me some hot pepper cheese and a loaf of homemade bread just got done making me a bacon and egg sandwich with it

what blood line did ya keep in your quater horses mike i liked the old fondation breeding most of the smart little lena bred horse makes good 1s

Glen I'm gonna be workin' on my well pump,can't promise anything,but I'll see what I can do. I use to go to Kidron,Ohio now that's Amish country fer sure,I thought I was in Arthur,Il. one day when I went too Kidron,it was sale day had every kind of livestock that day.

yea thats where the hay sell was at yesterday they have 3 or 4 sale barns out in that area it's 61 here been raining calling for rain and thunderstorms all day them amish are strung out all over the place they were quite a few at the sale yesterday we just watch most of the hay sell to sell incase we have to get some to get us through

I used to haul 2 Amish to work with me . When I had free time I would help them butcher a beef or some hogs , helped them build a barn for another person . I'm like you I could fit right in with them .LOL ,they always kept me in eggs , sausage,trail bologna ,souse and cheese . I would pull into their drive to drop of the dad and here would come some kids running out with a pie or a loaf of bread for me ,lol ,dang I miss them .

yea most out in ohio are pretty freindly and the 1s out in indiana are to the amish over in grantsville md are like the old amish not very freindly just say what they have to when dealing only know a couple of them that are freindly ole john yoder now he's a card he want you to take him up the road every time you stop at his place makes it sound close you might go 20 miles going where he wants to go

My nephew that lived up there in Amish country couldn't believe how well the Amish liked and treated me .I was invited to celebrate old Christmas with them ( Epiphany ) 12 days after our Christmas .Been to weddings ,Birthday parties ,good people ! Man ,I sure miss those homemade doughnuts Andy's wife would make .
