Dog with broken leg????

My female broke her leg last night treed in a tree that forks , got her to the vet this morning said surgery wasn’t an option splint it and hope for the best or remove the leg ….. of course we’re gonna try splinting it first , how many has seen one recover and hunt again what’s the odds?
