You can play with the settings all day. In the end it won't change the fact agm makes a sub par product. I have no idea how or why they took over as the premier thermal in the dog world but its a real shame.

The amount of time we get to shine a tree, I firmly believe if there there you'll find them. I'd take my bump cap over a thermal every night. If you don't see eyes or fur it truly doesn't matter.

My friend has an AGM 15 384 and we have no trouble finding coons in this jungle. Could it be the dog?

The heat sensors on the agms are terrible. They overlook tons of coon. Shaded trees in the woods, sure they will show some coon. Hot summer says on fence line or trees that aren't shaded they are worthless. Also, black hot is the only color that even remotely works. I guess until you see a good one in use, the agms might be top shelf 😉

I did for 3 years. It was a decent thermal. It did have a few major flaws though. The issue with almost all the high end brands now is simply tree heat. Most sensors are way too sensitive for looking up trees that baked in the sun all day. Against by better judgment, I bought a agm sidewinder 35-640. I hated it for a number of reasons. I don't understand how agm took over as the leading thermal in the hound world. If you ask any real knowledgeable thermal guys ATN are the absolute worst and AGM is the second worst for thermal quality.
