A little background info on Kraken.

My partner Grant Whitmer started hunting him at 4 and a half months old. He couldn't believe his eyes when he pulled up treed split his second night in the woods. From then he started taking him with his dad Main Street Blue. At 5 months old he was getting treed on a regular basis.

I told Grant to please bring him to me here in Ohio. When he turned 7 months old Grant brought him to me. The first night hunting him I knew I hadn't personally seen a pup do any of the things he was doing. I hunted him for a few weeks and entered him in his first PKC cast and UKC at 8 months old in 25 degree weather and a full moon. He treed the only coon seen in both casts.

By 10 months old he was a Nite Ch and hadn't been in a cast where it was above freezing.

As the weather improved he began treeing coon with greater speed and finishing tough old tracks with a coon at the end.

He is the most accurate dog I have ever turned loose even as a 1 year old.

By 15 months old He was a Grand Nite scoring over 550 plus in an hour 2 times and over 350 3 times. In his 8 CH cast wins he didn't take a single minus point and only had 4 circle trees while totaling over 3000 plus points.

At 18 months old we won a early cast at the PKC World hunt the only night I hunted him.

Since he was 12 months old he has hunted like a 3 or 4 year old veteran dog. Come see him go and see if what he has can get you excited!

Kraken put on a show last hight getting under several coon to advance to the finals at the tournament of champions. I believe he will be the youngest dog in the country to be there. Proud of this young hound!

A cross was just made today and it should really make some hounds to get a man excited to hit the woods!

Kraken made a young dog mistake and came into 2 older dogs that had put a possum in the ground 50 yards from the cast at the Tournament of Champions Finals on the very first cut. It was tough but I hope he learned a little something from it on the way back to the truck.

Didn't stay down long he picked up another PKC cast win Saturday night scoring 400 plus and 250 circle. That made 6 straight PKC 30 dollar cast wins this month. He did get beat late had 175 plus and 125 circle and lost by 75. Really hoping to secure a truck ticket this month.

Also bred a GRNT 2 female that I drew out with at the Tournament of Champions zone hunt. The guy said he really wanted a pup off Kraken and I'm thankful he decided to make the cross. His female is very nice and has a booming mouth. Won't fund better guys to deal with either. I will post his number and her pedigree tomorrow.

Wasn't going to make the trip 80 miles last night on a work night. I'll feel it today but picked up another win on Kraken last night. I have been lucky enough to win all 6 30oe event casts I've put him in this month.

Kraken picked up another 72 on Friday night to bring April to an end. It was an action packed month and very tiring. Hope it's enough to earn a truck ticket but if it's not we sire gave it a good run winning 8 out of 9 casts. We're going to keep after it and see what the future holds.
