2008 Calendar
Not to upset anyone, and to adhere to the board rules I have edited this text so it's clear that I am not selling anything. I actually have nothing to sell right now. >grin< I am hunting down photos for the 2008 Calendar and that is all this post is for. The dollar amounts I posted before were only to explain why I can't PAY YOU for photos. I apologize if it was taken as an ad. That said, please read on and SEND ME YOU PHOTOS! LOL
I desperately need your help! I require high-resolution photos of your hounds hunting and/or being a pet, the more photos, the more variety, the higher their resolution, the better your chances of making a calendar feature page. There are only 12 spots and lots of gorgeous hounds so the more interesting the photo again the better your chances.
The owners of the dogs chosen for feature pages will be contacted via e-mail for they text they would like to appear on the page in the way of the hounds name, titles, the kennel and contact info. I then send a proof copy of the page graphic. You will be asked at that time to review the text (i.e.Your dogs name and titles, your kennel and website if applicable, your name and contact information if you choose). You will also be asked to sign a note giving us permission to use your photos in exchange for a free calendar and other considerations.
I never know until I design the pages who will be in the calendar. I designed 21 pages last year and had to pick the best 12. Some photos are great shots or very interesting but the quality is poor. If the quality wont hold up the photo isn't chosen. Sometimes I don't have a choice but to use an poor quality or uninteresting photo because not enough photos come in for one breed or another.
I hope that explains some for you. Any specific questions, please ask here and I'll answer as best I can so you and others can see.
Send as many photos as you want there is no limit. If you sent in some before and didn't make it keep trying. If you have too many to email feel free to send me a CD or DVD of your digital images to my snail mail:

Please not actual photos. I don't have time to scan them and (unless the photo is professional) the quality isn't good enough. Not to mention I can send them all back.
I try to take one photo from each person that sends me a photo and put it on the collage pages. We are up to 4 collage pages now. See samples at http://coonhoundcalendar.com/Gallery/album01 click on the photo to enlarge. This will help to show you what type of photos I like to use as well.
