THESE ARE BALANCED HOUNDS FOR THE MOST PART, SOME WILL RUN ANYTHING THAT RUNS FROM THEM...AND THEY CAN BE FAST ON THE GROUND AND ALSO FAST LOCATING A TREE, THE BIG THING I NOTICED WITH SOME IS ....SOME ...HAVE DEER DOG MOUTHS, SQUEEEEELERS, HIGH PITCH......THEY GO BACK TO BELLARS KY RIVER ROCK AND GOLD CREEK MUNDO...I BELIEVE THIS IS CORRECT....I WOULDNT BE AFRAID TO FEED ONE....THEY CAN GET THE JOB DONE AND ....MOST ...DONT NEED ANY HELP...I HAD 2 HERE, I STARTED 1 FOR 1 FOR Mr.CLIFFORD DYER BACK IN 2003...I NAMED HIM ....BUCK CREEK CLIFFORD .....FOR Mr.DYER...I TOLD MY WIFE WE WILL SEE HIM AGAIN,2 YEARS LATER HE COVERED A MAGAZINE...HIGH SCORING DOG AT WALKER DAYS....THE ONE I ENDED UP WITH WAS NEVER WORTH A 22 BULLET.......SOME MAKE IT, SOME DONT...DONT KNOW IF YOU DONT TRY....JBG

Any BuckCreek dog I ever owned had a big mouth, common false statement about the dogs.

I have a 13 month old Buck Creek Gyp out of Buck and she can be squeaky on track. Well she was the last time i hunted her, she has been in heat for about 2 1/2 weeks now. She is a drifting dog that once she gets direction on the coon she runs with her head up has an awesome 1 bark locate and is VERY accurate 100 BPM tree dog. I am currently hunting a full littermate male to her that has a BOOMING mouth on track and tree but he only trees about 60-70 BPM. Both of these dogs were naturals. My gyp was catching and treeing coons at 6-7 months old and was just starting to get REAL CONSISTENT before she came in season. I am gonna hunt her at AO. Any by the way, neither one of these dogs are much to look at. But you dont get extra points for how purdy they are.

I don't know what you call deerdog mouth, but when Crazy was young he sounded like he was running a deer for afew minute's all chop and he would skip cold tracks to find one he could slam. His locate was like a 100 pound bluetick, a little softer now. He has won over 100 cast in PKC and I could not tell you how many people have said "They thought Buck Creek dog's had no mouth untill they heard him" but then say that Crazy is the only one they had hunted with.
I think the mouth will depend on the cross you get a pup from not the strain of walkerdog you choose to hunt. They are so crossed up now. I mean Crazy and Buck show Deanwood Drifter,House's Lipper in their 3 generation, they where known for their loud mouth and the pup's they sired had big mouth's.

My gyp is out of Buck and a rat x clover gyp. Her squeakiness is leaving her slowly but surely. I could care less. Cuz when she hits that tree and it sounds like a train coming thru the woods then changes over to a steady 100 BPM most people forget about the squeakiness. I really like my gyp and she is a speedster on track. She is also a very intelligent dog.

I have owned all or part of a few Buck Creek dogs. My two male dogs had huge mouths, and I have a pup out of one of them that is real sqeely on the ground and has a huge male dog mouth on the tree. We have a 6 mo old female now out of Buck Creek Stroker that has a real mouth. She is treeing turn loose coon right now by herself like an old dog and she turned 6 mos old Aug 13th. She acts real good, gets out and hunts hard and is in on everything. She will no doubt make a dog. Our other gyp was running and treeing wild coon at 7 mos by herself and getting split most of the time. I scored 750+ with her at 10 mos old in a cast. She is a real nice young female. She is out of Buck Creek Axle.

I've competed with Buck Creek dogs for around 8 or 9 yrs. now and they have had some great mouhs on mine. The reason I keep running this line is the natural ability they have to be consistent.

Clifford Dyer told me in his own words the BUCK CREEK NAME came from a local VET CLINIC and ....SOME....I DIDNOT SAY ALL... DO HAVE HIGH PITCH MOUTHS....THIS IS NOT A FALSE STATEMENT AND WASNT NEVER INTENDED TO BE A NEGATIVE DIRECTED TOWARDS THIS LINE OF DOGS...Drum goes back to KY RIVER ROCK(GOLD CREEK MUNDO) X KY.R. JILL( F.R.JOE)and a FINLEY RIVER DAN FEMALE, if I,m not mistaken ....This line of dogs were TRASHY/GAMEY and would train themselves but just like 40 years ago and today ...SOME HAVE IT AND SOME DONT...and that is for any breed

Wonder Woman went back to LEVINERS CAROLINA CLIPPER( HOUSE BRED),Sue I think was Diamond Jim bred and I think TOLERS TREEING DRUM and DYERS TEX MAY HAVE BEEN 1/2 BROTHERS,I use to be able to quote pedigrees but guess I,m not as good as I once was...Hope this helps

And the other male had a deep pitch hard tree dog . some are high pitch some ain't BUT I have never seen a buck creek dog that wasn't a real hard tree dog . all I have seen has been very hard tree dogs
