coondog

my coondog checked in at 1300 yards tonight [thats from the tailgate] only he did not come back really i checked in......go power? he took one quick look at me and ran by as hard as he could go ...4 or 5 hundred more he struck an old hard track he worked it for 45 min. then settled in on ceder tree in clearcut i coundt see but i know it was there..under that tree i was as the crow flies well over 2000 yards i walked twice that [feels like] i had to be home before 6 or i would have turned him loose again and gladly said a prayer about not having a heartattack on the way to the next tree.thanks for the dog mike i just dont know if im man enough.......i dont want to part with the dog and i dont want to walk 2000yards to the tree either.....call me soft if you want to but i hunt hollers this is not easy walking
