What do you guys think about a English x Rebone cross?

I posted this up on the English page and didn't get much response. So I figured I'd see what you guys here on the X-breed forum thought.

I pose the same question to the X-breed world.
What do you guys think about a Redbone x English cross?
The good, the bad, the ugly?

Thanks for the input.

Kent

--------Original Message put on the English Forums----------

I have a nice Redbone male, NITECH CH'PR' Wiley's Hillbilly Jack and have had a couple of guys contact me about using him in an x-breed program.

I'm a redbone guy to the bone, but I'm not colorblind by any means as I've owned nice ones from everything but Plott, and Lepord (I haven't owned one of either).

When they started to talking, I started to thinking. I wouldn't mind seeing a Redbone x English litter to see what they've got. I would like to think that it would have a good chance of making a good well balanced hound with plenty of brains, nose, tree, and drive.

What do you guys as English men think?

Here is what Jack looks like, and a link to his stud page. (which has a link to a thread that recorded nearly every hunt he had up until he made NITECH)

Why not it might mean a little more white in the chest, but hey that white will fade when at the tree with a real coon in it.

I was thinking the along the same lines as what has been mentioned. Well balanced, hardy, tree dogs.

I guess there isn't much interest on this one.

Oh well, Jack is here for use if interested.

I cross breed a lot for running hogs here in texas as well as tree game . and it's not so much the cross of breeds as it is the dogs you are using . as with all breeding it might click and it might not . no way to know till you try it .
