Chip I can only make 1 trip and pups out of Cowboy and June Bug would only be 4 weeks old. More than likley it's Oaks for me this year hopefully with a nice litter of pups for folks to pick up.

Unfortunately, my plans suddenly changed this week.

Some of you know that I suffered an eye injury while out hunting. I had multi-flower rose reach in and grab my left eye. I lacerated my cornea and had to spend several weeks on the mend.

I was scheduled to be released to drive and hunt again on Friday. I was looking forward to hitting the woods again, but wanted to know what was causing me to have pain in my right leg.

Well.... this week my news got worse. I have been hunting for almost a year with severe pain in my right leg. Hunter and Raymond would have to ice me down on the way home and often times it took me several days to recover from one 2 hour hunt.

We discovered the reason this week. I have been hunting with several back problems. Crushed 12 and 13 vertebrae and 4-5 are severely out of position.

Once again, I am on doctor's orders to stay out of the woods. I am hoping to make the trip, but as of now I don't see how it is possible.

Good luck to all my friends... hopefully I will get healed up and be there next year.

Thanks Brett..... Hunter is making the trip with some friends... I am just praying that things change in the next few days and they say I can at least ride along and visit.

I was really looking forward to seeing the new STEELE dog of Jim and Chris's. I wanted to hunt in opens with a secret weapon I have named DRIVE... but I guess things happen for a reason.
