Great weekend with the family

Just wanted to share a picture from this weekend of a hunt with my kids and grandson, I'm proud of all of them.

My son in law Scott Bridgeman just got his bow license, has never hunted deer before, came out with his wife(my youngest daughter Kelsi) and their 3 mos old daughter Cecelia for a long weekend of bowhunting. My oldest daughter Ginette and 7 yr old grandson Daniel wanted to go on a coon hunt Saturday night and take Scott along as he had never experienced a coon hunt either. Well Scott had good luck and got a nice young 4 pt buck Saturday afternoon so we brought it down to the shed and got it hung and waited for dark.

We got everybody set up with lights and my nephew Jordan Cinquino showed up and wanted to tag along as he had never been to the wood either. Daughter Kelsi said she was in too, we had no trouble having Nana watch the baby. Since there was so many of us we just walk hunted behind the house. We collared up the two dogs and headed for the woods.
We cut the dogs they went about 350 yards and struck and took the track almost out of hearing to the North and came treed in huge red oak. We got to the tree it was on the side of a very steep ravine and no sense shooting the coon to fall 100 feet to the bottom so left it and headed South. Dogs struck in a few minutes and took a nice track southeast and came treed in a very large hollow cherry but the coon was on the outside. I showed everyone the coon then shot it out it was a nice boar I would guess to be about 18 lbs. We let the dogs wool it then headed straight west cut the dogs they struck ran about 250 yrs and came treed in the hemlocks. There was a steep ravine between the dogs and our party so Scott and I left the group, slid down on our butts then climbed the other side to find the dogs split and both had a coon. We just shot one out it ended up being another boar and left the second one to run again. We decided to call it a night as the boys wanted to watch the pay per view UFC fights at ten. I lined them up in front of a couple scotch pines in the yard and got this picture:

Left to right: my son in law Scott Bridgeman just got out of the Navy he was stationed in Norfolk Va. Second is my nephew Jordan Cinquino from Amherst NY just graduated from medical school and is a Doctor at Buffalo General. In the middle is my oldest daughter and dedicated deer hunter Ginette. She is a cancer survivor and mother of two boys. Next is Ginette's son my grandson Daniel holding papas rifle. He out paced us all! And last but not least my youngest daughter Kelsi Lynn and wife to Scott. For just having a baby she trucked around these hills just fine! The two English dogs are on the left my 3 yr old GRCH Samson he is out of Paul Cronauer's GRNITECH Smooth Talking Sammy. The blue English on the right is 7 mos old Oatka Valley Chunck who is out of Nick Jennings GRNITECH Wildman Buck and has been running and treeing for a couple months now. They are both grandsons to my ole Bluspeck dog. It's all about family and great memories
