Tramp, Bullet II up close. This male will be two in July. He has NOT started yet. Will not tree or run track at this time. Does go hunting with other dogs. Big mouth, great pedigree. Not ill at all. I have two 4 month old pups I am working with and don't have time to continue to work with him. Just a slow starter I guess. I am just not that patient. I will take $400 for him. You can imagine I have way more than that in him. I am in Virginia.

This is a good looking male that Kelly has for sale. Most in this litter have started in the normal time. Our Sledge dog started fast and ran and treed his first night out. I sent him to a trainer for some winter work and he had a major set back. He is now down in Alabama and picking it back up. In talking with the people who know this line and how they are I have found out that on the bottom side they are independent almost to a fault when you are trying to start them with another dog. If you want a dog to do what the rest are doing they probably are not for you. I have been told they need to be started alone and hunted alone. They will go hunting. Some of these can be tight on the ground. Our Sledge dog was getting strikes on my GrNite female at a young age. Kelly has bought two dogs from me and I believe the pups he has are out of the first one. He bought this male from me and I think if someone has the patience with him they may end up with a nice one. I am like Kelly in that I like them to start early. These dogs do not do well for someone that gets on them hard. With some patience and a ride to the woods he may make a nice one. I realize they all don't make it but I have sold pups that started late that made nice ones in time. His pedigree is below.

You described him perfectly. He is very independent and will make a nice one if someone is a little more patient than Me. I have a feeling who ever gets him will call me some day and tell me what a mistake I made. If I don’t get him sold I will get him hunted this fall and then he might never be bought.
Scott is correct. I have 2 pups off this male’s half sister I bought from him and they have a chance to be special, she cannot he bought. If you are looking for an honest houndsman to deal with Scott VH is your man. He knows what a hound should be and awesome to work with.
