Hardest hunting

I’ve made similar post but I’d like to know again. Hardest hunting blue dog alive male or female and when this ol Coronavirus moves on and if the dog isn’t too far away I’d like to maybe see it go. I live in thin coon and like em to get in the country seems to be one of the hardest traits for me to find. Not looking to start any argument just friendly research and conversation

Thanks

Justin you ole outlaw! I hope you & your family are all doing as well as can be.

You know better than to ask such a question about a blue dog!

Harry told me last night that blue dog owners just be the most patient & loving hound folks out there! I think he may have said that in regard to the fine performance of one of my blue potlickers!

I do know of one in Illinois that will punish you. His daddy would punish a fellow as well. Mike Fleek owns this hound, his name is Doc. Doc will be 4 years old this June. Mike will take you hunting & calls a spade a spade.

I'm sure you've pondered this already, but if not, you may want to get in touch with John Strickland & slip over into Kentucky to take a hunt with BC. I've never had the privilege of seeing BC go, but know several straight shooters who have drawn out with BC, & plenty of giddy up was verified.

Best of luck in your search Justin!

Hard going

You are welcome to venture over here to Iowa Dual Gr Morgan Branch Willing & Abel. He is a get gone get deep hardest hunting blue dog I have hunted with. I'm not gonna blow smoke and say he is perfect but he has more heart and drive than most in the blue breed I have seen go. He leaves on a run at dark and still leaves at a run when the sun is coming up. He hunts on the run. He doesn't just flat line out but hunts deep and hunts hard. If I wasn't able to drive closer to him in most spots he would be miserable to hunt but I like him. Unsnap him , wait 5 minutes and look for the closest way to his tree.

That’s the kind of hunt I’m talking about. What’s his pedigree?

Vic you know me I’m always looking for something to kick rocks in my face. In this country you have to have it pretty much. I like a dog that will go and for me it’s been hard to find in a blue dog.

Hard hunting blue dog

I didn’t know they made such a thing !!! Usually all u need is three acres and a fire to hunt all night !!! I have a ten year old white blue tick that has to be one of the best blue dogs I’ve ever seen go !!! Now let me tell u what I think is wrong with all these **** blue dogs !! This is just my opinion and that and two dollars won’t buy u a beer so take it for what u want !! I believe that the biggest problem with the bluetick breed is the owners are to **** stubborn to see a good thing when it’s right there in front of there own face !! How many times in your lifetime have u guys seen guys bringing there walker dogs and red dogs to a bluetick stud !! Instead of not breeding to a dog because it’s not out of the bloodline u raised or not out of so and so dog is crazy if I had a good blue bitch I promise she would be getting hauled to big country !! If snow was younger she would be getting hauled to him !!! I’ve never been to any other hunt other than a blue hunt where all the guys separate if u aren’t hunting there line of dogs. In short u guys need to work together to better the breed instead of against each other !!!

Harry
Could you please just say what you’re really trying to say😂. But no really if people want better dogs it’s time everyone work together a lot of jealousy in these ol dogs

Give Mike Sheppard a call and make a hunt with his Goomba dog. I believe you'll come away impressed.

I think Bluetick guys are waiting to see if Goomba is going to be a good reproducer. Problem is he isn’t getting females brought to him and by the time he “proves” it then he will be too old to use much more.

Not alive, year 1981, Natural Blue Willy. It took him about 15 minutes on a big creek to get a mile, 30 minutes for two miles, 45 minutes on the third mile. Willy intended on getting treed when cut loose.

trouble

Im sure having trouble finding a bluetick to hunt the way I want one too. surely one would think I could find a pup that has extreme hunt not asking for a trained dog just a pup with natural hard hunting in it. I can train one that will hunt
