Troy has had top hounds as long as I can remember. It just took so long for people to see it. When Daniel Smith did so well with Butch (brother to Echo II ) in the purina race then Troy took an 8yr old Echo II almost to our 1st UKC world champion, it finally openend the eyes to the rest of the nation.
Not to mention they are good looking hounds.

My first dog to had my name on their papers was from Echo back in the mid 90's. She still stands in my mind as one of the fastest, loudest and most accurate.

Alice has 9 little Echo Joe pups squirming around and raisin heck! Maybe one more before she's done. Can't wait for these pups to grow older so I can start working with them!! Blue Creek's Northen Blue Echo has been born!!

Early starters?

Just curious to those who hunt Echo dogs and have for a while, how early do they start?? I've talked to a few folks who haven't had much luck getting them started young, but once they get older, finish into nice hounds.

Im sure this isnt true of ALL Echo dogs, but which ones seem to be producing early starters?

Also, is their an Echo stud avalible today that is thriving from a reproductive stand point?

I like the Idea of adding a little "wild and crazy" to the hounds I hunt. Also, I think the breed as a whole could use more track speed. Not a hot nosed dog. BUT a dog that can smell a cold track, and move it quickly. Maybe I could get this from the Echo line?
