It's another super video, You all really tree some big coon up there. The one thing I notice in the video is how consistant the dogs all look. That tells me that the breeding is producing a certain type of dog and by the looks of the numbers of hides tacked up they must be COONDOGS.!!!!!!

Hope to see the whole Red Fever family this summer .Congratulations on a great year.

Here at Red Fever Redbones, we have 4 stud dogs (along with many top females) that we are campaigning and breeding to produce a balanced, accurate, coon treeing, competitive hound. All 4 studs are Performance Nominated for 2013, and we will offer them at public stud to females that can & will run and tree. We are tentatively planning a litter from each of these studs for ourselves in 2013, and we may have a few pups available. ***GRNITECH GRFCH GRWCH GRCH PR Red Fever Hot Iron Ox***

Ox is the 4th ever, and only living, Quad Grand Redbone male; he finished to Quad Champion as a 2 yr old, and Quad Grand as a 4 yr old (the youngest that I am aware of). He is a very balanced and competitive hound. He placed 2nd on Thursday night at the 2009 American Redbone Days in Kansas, and has had several other cast wins at other Redbone Days. He is a pleasure to hunt and campaign, a hard combo to find. He gets gone quick (alone or with company), opens according to the track, drifts a track, lays up coon, has a warble locate, and is a 1st to the tree, hard, belly rubbing treedog. Almost all of Ox’s pups are 2 and under, and we’ve been very happy overall with the reports we’ve received on them.

***NITECH GRCH PR Two Worlds Collide***

Clyde is an extremely fast track dog, track drifter, lay-up artist, runs with a bawl on track, warble locate, and is a hard chop on tree, on the wood, treedog. He was an early starter, and finshed to NITECH before he was 2 yrs old. He is a beautiful dog, cherry red, excellent conformation, and tight feet. Clyde is also proving himself to be a reproducer. He currently has 7 NITECH, 1 GRNITECH, and about 3 more with wins toward NITECH out of 108 pups. Clyde is currently on the UKC Top Ten Reproducers list and was on the UKC Performance Program Top Reproducing Sires List for 2012.

***NITECH GRFCH GRWCH GRCH PR Red Fever Razor’s Rip N Tear***

Rip was an early starting dog, he was running and treeing with the older dogs and 8 months and split treeing and holding pressure at 9 months old. Rip runs track with a BEAUTIFUL bawl mouth, has a distinct die-bawl locate, and rolls it over to a hard chop on tree. Rip is extremely independent, but will occasionally pack with others if that’s all that’s available. He has a little colder nose, but runs a hot or cold track well, doesn’t get hung up, and always puts a coon on the end. Out of 58 pups, Rip currently has 4 NITECH, and 3 more with at least a 1st place win.

***NITECH FCH GRCH PR Red Ryders Red Fever Tater***

Taters was a VERY early starter, running and lock down treeing with the older dogs at just 5 1/2 months old, and split treeing, every breath, with the meat, at 6 months old to the day. Tater was previously owned by our good friend Scott Brown, but Scott gave us the opportunity to bring Tater back here to Red Fever Kennels so he would get the opportunity to be campaigned in the hunts and put in the breeding pen; we feel he has a lot to offer the breed. Tater is a quick strike dog, has a great nose, runs a track with a big bawl mouth, and is a lock it down tree dog. He is a UKC Grand Show Champion, a UKC Field Champion, and a UKC NITECH. Tater has a nice big block head with long ears, long legs, and tight feet. Tater only has 11 pups currently, and all are 7 months and under, but we like what we’ve seen so far.

I just so happen to have Taters first solo tree at 6 months old on Vid. Huh. Would of thunk it. He held pressure of another dog treed about 75 yards away if memory serves me right.

Love that video of Tater, Scott. He did in fact hold pressure from Star treed about 75 yards away, and Ox, treed deeper. If you listen, you can hear Star treed in the background of the video. Tater doesn't have a lot of pups on the ground yet, and none of them are real old, but we're liking the few we do have here off him. The female off of Tater X Georgia has one of the biggest male mouths I think I've ever heard on a female. I went out to do chores the other morning, and both of our Tater X Dice pups were treed down in the woods. I went down, and found them treeing on a tree with a branch broke off, and the coon sleeping up on the limb. They're born natural treedogs. They are about 6 months and 2 weeks old.

Taters was a VERY early starter, running and lock down treeing with the older dogs at just 5 1/2 months old, and split treeing, every breath, with the meat, at 6 months old to the day. At the Wilton Walker Sectional yesterday, Tater won Champion male, finishing to Grand Show Champion, and he won 3rd place open registered, finishing him to NITECH!

A quick update:

*Carl Gudgeon's Chief (Clyde X Bonnie) won 1st place open registered on Saturday night and finished to NITECH at the Decorah, IA redbone sectional, giving Clyde another NITECH.

*Tater (Rip x Maggie) got a win towards GRNITE on Friday night at the same hunt

*Terry Goza's Rock (Rip x Rose) won 1st place open registered Friday night and 2nd place open registered on Saturday night and finished to NITECH and was King of Hunt

*Tim Chase's Joe (Rip x Rose) picked up another win towards GRNITE last weekend. He now has 2.

*Steve & Mike Anderson's Paco (Rip x Star) has picked up a 1st and 2nd in the Nite Hunts the last couple weeks (in her first 2 hunts)
